''Die Dreisten Drei – Die Comedy WG'' is a German sketch comedy series, which aired from 2003 to 2008 on Sat.1 and returned in February 2012 with a new cast. Concept The skits in ''Die Dreisten Drei'' center around every day situations or scenes, for example in a supermarket, in a park, on the bench or in a book shop. As a framework for the different skits the three are shown living together in their shared flat, usually watching TV. Comedy is a genre of fiction that consists of discourses or works intended to be humorous or amusing by inducing laughter, especially in theatre, film, stand-up comedy, television, radio, books, or any other entertainment medium. The term originated in ancient Greece: in Athenian democracy, the public opinion of voters was influenced by political satire performed by comic poets in theaters. The Rose d'Or ('Golden Rose') is an international awards festival in entertainment broadcasting and programming. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) first acquired the Rose d’Or in 1961, when it was created by Swiss Television in the lakeside city of Montreux. The awards stayed with the EBU for almost 40 years. The EBU re-acquired the awards in 2013 and successfully re-launched the event that year in Brussels, then relocated to Berlin from 2014 to 2018. In 2014 the event took place on 17 September in Berlin, Germany. For the first time in its 53-year history, the competition categories were extended to include radio and online video programmes in addition to the traditional focus on television. Sophia Thomalla (born 6 October 1989) is a German actress, model, and television presenter. Early life Thomalla was born in East Berlin, East Germany on 6 October 1989, the daughter of actors Simone Thomalla and André Vetters. Norman Quentin Cook (born Quentin Leo Cook, 31 July 1963), also known by his stage name Fatboy Slim, is an English musician, DJ, and record producer who helped to popularise the big beat genre in the 1990s. Mirja Boes (born 13 September 1971 in Viersen), also known under her stage name Möhre (German for "carrot"), is a German comedian, actress, and singer. Boes produces comedic party music, and also has released tracks of spoken comedy. She has released a number of singles and has also recorded with other German musicians, as part of the 'Mallorca All-Stars'. She won the 2007 German Comedy Award as a member of the ensemble of 'Frei Schnauze' (Best Comedy Show), and the 2008 German Comedy Award (Best Comedian).
