''Didi No. 1'' () is a Bengali television game show for women launched in 2010. The show airs on Zee Bangla six days a week and also available on ZEE5 digitally. It is the second longest-running Bengali television series by episode count. Background of the program There are total four rounds in Didi No. 1. Participants can get many gifts answering the questions asked by the anchor. At the end of each episode, the anchor gives crests and free gifts to the participants for their participation. The winner gets a different type of crest than the other participants. She also gets a badge tied upon her saree by the anchor. Season 9 was launched in a completely new avatar. First round contestants will play against each other in two pairs where host will ask questions and who will be able to answer that will collect all necessary grocery items within 10 seconds. Rachna Banerjee
Rachna Banerjee (born Jhumjhum Rakesh Banerjee; 2 October 1974) also known as Rachana, is an Indian actress, entrepreneur and television presenter. She is known for her works in Bengali and Odia film industries and has also appeared in several Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films. Being crowned the 1994 Miss Kolkata, she has also won five beauty contests in India including Miss Beautiful Smile at the Miss India contest. Early life Banerjee was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, and was her parents' only child. Her father was Upamanyu Banerjee. Her original name was Jhumjhum Banerjee, and was changed to Rachana by Sukhen Das, the director of her debut film Daan Pratidaan (1993). Sourav Das (or sometimes spelled Saurav Das) is a Bengali actor, presenter, comedian, and theater director. Early life and career He graduated from South Point School in Kolkata. ''Anandabazar Patrika'' (Bengali: আনন্দবাজার পত্রিকা, ) is an Indian Bengali-language daily newspaper owned by the ABP Group. According to the Audit Bureau of Circulations, it has a circulation of 1 million copies as of December 2019. Its main competitors are ''Bartaman'', ''Ei Samay'', and ''Sangbad Pratidin''. History A Bengali newspaper was published in 1876 in a small village of Magura at Jessore District in British India (now Bangladesh) by Tushar Kanti Ghosh and his father Sisir Kumar Ghosh. It was a reality show, the main theme of which was promotion of women aged between 18–50. Format An anchor hosts the program and conducts light weight chats on different subjects with the housewives, her husband, other family members.
