Dickinson's Real Deal
''Dickinson's Real Deal'' is a UK modern antiques and collectables television programme that is broadcast on ITV and presented by David Dickinson. A US version of the show, produced by Zodiak USA and titled simply '' Real Deal'', was aired for one series on the History Channel. The format was the same except that the US show lacked the on-screen host for intervention on the deals. Format The shows are recorded at UK venues to which members of the public are invited to bring their antiques and collectables. Independent valuers estimate the value of these items. The items are then passed to the dealers, who make their own valuation and try to purchase them by placing a cash offer on the table. David Dickinson
David Dickinson MBE (born David Gulesserian; 16 August 1941) is an English antiques dealer and television presenter. Between 2000 and 2004, Dickinson hosted the BBC One antiques show ''Bargain Hunt'', where he was succeeded by Tim Wonnacott. Dickinson left the BBC in 2005, and since 2006 he has been hosting the ITV daytime show ''Dickinson's Real Deal''. The show sees members of the public bringing antiques and collectables to sell to a dealer or take to the auction. In April 2003, he hosted his own daytime chat show series ''The David Dickinson Show'' and in 2017, he presented ''David Dickinson's Name Your Price'' for ITV. Michael "Hoggy" Hogben (born 6 November 1952) is an English auctioneer, antiques dealer, Author and TV personality who has appeared in the BBC series ''Bargain Hunt'', ITV's ''Dickinson's Real Deal'', and his own series ''Auction Man.''
