Anthony Dickenson
Anthony Dickenson, FMedSci is Professor of Neuropharmacology at University College, London. Education Tony Dickenson received his PhD at the National Institute for Medical Research, London, and has held Fellowships and posts in Paris, California and Sweden. Career Tony Dickenson was appointed to the Department of Pharmacology at University College in 1983. He conducted research into the mechanisms of pain and how pain can be controlled in both normal and patho-physiological conditions and how to translate basic science to the patient. Dickenson has supervised more than 20 completed PhD students as well as contributing to undergraduate science and medical teaching. He is a founding and continuing member of the London Pain Consortium, a Wellcome Trust Integrated Physiology Initiative, which funds a group of scientists in London and Oxford studying pain mechanisms and educating young scientists in this field. Margaret H. Dickenson is a Canadian cookbook author, columnist and television host. Dickenson earned a degree in foods and nutrition from the University of Guelph, and has traveled around the world with her husband, a member of Canada's diplomatic corps. Samuel Dickenson (1733 – May 15, 1823) was an English clergyman and botanist. He was educated at St John's College, Cambridge, where he was a contemporary of Erasmus Darwin. Mitchell Dickenson (born 14 September 1996) is an English professional footballer who most recently played as a defender for Welling United and the England C team. Club career Dickenson came through the youth ranks at Gillingham, and signed professional terms in March 2015. In March 2016 he signed for a month on loan with Isthmian League Division One South side Hastings United. Lou Dickenson (born 15 August 1982) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who last played for the Thetford Assurancia of the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey. He was selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the fourth round (113th overall) of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. David Dickenson (born January 11, 1973) is a Canadian football head coach with the Calgary Stampeders and former professional player with the Stampeders and the BC Lions where he won the 2006 Grey Cup and was named the game's MVP. Dickenson also played quarterback collegiately at the University of Montana, where he led the Montana Grizzlies to the 1995 NCAA I-AA college football championship.
