Dick Young (baseball)
Richard Ennis Young (June 3, 1928 – January 7, 2018) was a professional baseball player. He played parts of two seasons in Major League Baseball for the Philadelphia Phillies for two seasons, primarily as a second baseman. He played 15 games for the Phillies during the 1951 Philadelphia Phillies season and five games during the 1952 Philadelphia Phillies season Offseason In March 1952, during spring training, shortstop Granny Hamner was named captain of the team by manager Eddie Sawyer. Schenectady () is a city in Schenectady County, New York, United States, of which it is the county seat. As of the 2020 census, the city's population of 67,047 made it the state's ninth-largest city by population. The city is in eastern New York, near the confluence of the Mohawk and Hudson rivers. It is in the same metropolitan area as the state capital, Albany, which is about southeast. Schenectady was founded on the south side of the Mohawk River by Dutch colonists in the 17th century, many of whom came from the Albany area.
