Dick McCabe (racing Driver)
Dick McCabe (born October 6, 1947) is an American stock car racing driver. Now retired, he is known to most major NASCAR fans as a NASCAR Busch Series winner, but he won the Molson Tour championship twice and the NASCAR Busch North Series championship twice. His nickname was the "Irish Angel." He retired from racing in 1995. He was inducted in the New England Auto Racers Hall of Fame in 2002. Accomplishments before major NASCAR McCabe built his first racecar, a 1936 Chevy 6-cylinder "Bomber" coupe at age 14, and sneaked his way into a number of races. McCabe joined the NASCAR North (a regional racing series) in 1976, where he competed against Stub Fadden, Beaver and Bobby Dragon, and Robbie Crouch. McCabe won the NASCAR North Championship in 1981, then repeated in '82, when he set the NASCAR North record for the most top 10 finishes in a season. NASCAR Busch North Series
The ARCA Menards Series East (formerly Busch East Series, Busch North Series, Camping World East Series, and NASCAR K&N Pro Series East) is a regional stock car racing series owned and operated by the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) and the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR). Races are held at oval tracks ranging from in length and on two road courses, in length. Most races are stand-alone events (i.e. not in conjunction with other NASCAR touring series), but there are three race weekends that are in combination with the NASCAR Cup Series. Beavers are large, semiaquatic rodents in the genus ''Castor'' native to the temperate Northern Hemisphere. There are two extant species: the North American beaver (''Castor canadensis'') and the Eurasian beaver (''C. fiber''). Beavers are the second-largest living rodents after the capybaras. Dale Shaw
Dale Shaw (born April 9, 1964) is a former American stock car racing driver. Shaw competed in 45 NASCAR Xfinity Series races between 1987 and 1999, achieving 9 top ten finishes. He also competed in 270 ARCA Menards Series East races between 1987 and 2005, winning 19 races and reaching the top ten 139 times. He also won the series' 1994 title, doing so without winning a single race, making him the only driver to do so in NASCAR history (at the time he won the title, the series was known as the Busch East Series) until Austin Dillon won the then-Nationwide Series title in 2013. Ricky Craven
Richard Allen Craven (born May 24, 1966) is an American stock car racing analyst and former driver. Prior to his broadcasting duties, he was a NASCAR driver who won in four different series—the K&N Pro Series, and the three national series. He occasionally served as a pit reporter when NASCAR aired on TBS in the mid-1990s. Craven is perhaps most well known for winning the 2003 Carolina Dodge Dealers 400, beating Kurt Busch in the closest finish in Cup Series history. Personal Craven graduated from Hampden Academy in Hampden, Maine. Racing career Beginnings Craven began racing at the age of 15 at Unity Raceway, winning twice as well as the Rookie of the Year award. Watkins Glen International, nicknamed "The Glen", is an automobile race track located in the town of Dix just southwest of the village of Watkins Glen, New York, at the southern tip of Seneca Lake. It was long known around the world as the home of the Formula One United States Grand Prix, which it hosted for twenty consecutive years (1961–1980). Nazareth Speedway
Nazareth Speedway was an auto racing facility near Nazareth in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania which operated from 1910 to 2004 in two distinct course configurations. In its early years, it was a dirt twin oval layout. In 1987 it was reopened as a paved tri-oval that measured just slightly under 1 mile. The facility is often linked to local drivers Mario and Michael Andretti's early racing careers. It was also associated with Frankie Schneider due to his large number of wins on the two dirt tracks. As of November 2015, the site was purchased by Raceway Properties LLC under David Jaindl. There are no current plans to return racing to the facility. Dover International Speedway
Dover Motor Speedway (formerly Dover Downs International Speedway and later Dover International Speedway) is a race track in Dover, Delaware. The NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) is a stock car racing series organized by NASCAR. It is promoted as NASCAR's second-tier circuit to the organization's top level Cup Series. New Hampshire International Speedway
New Hampshire Motor Speedway is a oval speedway located in Loudon, New Hampshire, which has hosted NASCAR racing annually since 1990, as well as the longest-running motorcycle race in North America, the Loudon Classic.
