Dick Karth
Richard J. Karth (born December 13, 1952) is an American professional historic motorsport and stock car racing driver. As a vintage racer, he pilots the No. 90 formerly owned by Donlavey Racing in conjunction with the Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 61 Chevrolet Camaro for MBM Motorsports. Vintage racing Growing up a racing fan, he watched Quarter Midget racing, quarter midget events at the Shawano County, Wisconsin fairgrounds alongside his father and uncle who owned a funeral home that operated an ambulance for drivers. He began regularly attending the Indianapolis 500 in 1968 Indianapolis 500, 1968. Madison International Speedway
The Madison International Speedway (MIS) is a half-mile paved oval racetrack in the Town of Rutland near Oregon, Wisconsin, United States. With 18-degree banked turns, the track is billed as "The Track of Champions" and "Wisconsin's Fastest Half Mile." The weekly program at the track runs on Friday nights under NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series sanction. History The track opened in the 1950s as a dirt quarter-mile run by several organizations as Oregon Legion Speedway. Sam Bartus purchased the track in 1963 and paved the track. In 1969, he tore down the quarter-mile track and built a state of the art high-banked half-mile oval and named it "Capital Super Speedway".Track history Madison International Speedway.
