''Dick Cavett Meets ABBA'' is a 1981 television special featuring the Swedish pop group being interviewed by the American television personality Dick Cavett. ABBA also took to the stage, performing nine songs in a so-called "mini-concert". A one-off broadcast filmed and produced by Sveriges Television (SVT) in Stockholm, Sweden and presented as ''"Dick Cavett Meets ABBA".'' Rehearsals took place during the end of April; while Cavett's interview with the four members was conducted on 27 April. The live performances were recorded on 28–29 April 1981. It was released as a single in a limited number of countries in 1980 as the second single from their seventh studio album, ''Super Trouper (album), Super Trouper''. Background The track, which had the working titles "Esses vad det svänger när man spelar jazz" (roughly translated as "God Almighty How it Swings When You're Playing Jazz") and "'Til the Night is Gone", was released as a single in a few countries, namely Argentina, Australia, Canada, France, Japan and the United States. It consists of 66 tracks across four discs, with the first three discs including all of the band's singles from 1972 - 1982, many B-sides, and some album tracks in chronological order; while the fourth disc includes some rarities and some previously unreleased material, most notably the 23-and-a-half minute long medley ''"ABBA Undeleted''" which includes the track Just a Notion, released as part of Voyage in 2021. This box set marks the appearance of several ABBA tracks on compact disc for the first time. ''ABBA Live'' is an album of live recordings by Swedish pop group ABBA, released by Polar Music in 1986. History A live album was something that many ABBA fans had demanded for several years. ABBA themselves had toyed with the idea on a couple of occasions, but always decided against it. Finally, four years after the members went their separate ways, a live collection was released after all. The resultant album, ''ABBA Live'', contained recordings from 1977, 1979 and 1981. The tracks were mostly taken from ABBA's concerts at Wembley Arena in London in November 1979, with a few additional songs taken from the tour of Australia in March 1977 and the ''Dick Cavett Meets ABBA'' television special, taped in April 1981. ''The Complete Studio Recordings'' is a box set of all of the studio material released by the Swedish pop group ABBA. It was released on November 7, 2005 and consists of 9 CDs and 2 DVDs, plus a full color booklet with a timeline and photos. Another booklet containing complete lyrics to all of the music was also included. There is one CD for each of ABBA's 8 studio albums. These CDs also include bonus tracks in the form of non-album tracks and foreign language versions. The final CD contains additional rare tracks, including songs released after the group had disbanded. Of particular interest is the rare alternate mix of " Waterloo", which has never been available on CD before. The extended mono version of "On and On and On"—featuring an extra verse and previously only available as the soundtrack to the song's video—is also released on CD for the first time. "Knowing Me, Knowing You" is a song recorded by Swedish pop group ABBA, released in February 1977 as the third single from the group's fourth album, ''Arrival'' (1976). It was written by Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus and Stig Anderson, with Anni-Frid Lyngstad singing the lead vocals. "Slipping Through My Fingers" is a song written by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson and recorded by Swedish pop group ABBA from their 1981 album '' The Visitors'', with lead vocals by Agnetha Fältskog. The song is about a mother's regret at how quickly her daughter is growing up, and the lack of time they have spent together, as the girl goes to school. The inspiration for the song was Ulvaeus' and Fältskog's daughter, Linda Ulvaeus, who was seven at the time the song was written. The song was only released as a single in Japan, where it was a red vinyl promo single for The Coca-Cola Company with nothing on the B-side except a printed picture of the group.
