''Diaporthe'' is a genus of endophytic filamentous fungal plant pathogens. ''Diaporthe'' species have been shown to transform the infection-inhibiting factors (+)- catechin and (−)-epicatechin into the 3,4-cis-dihydroxyflavan derivatives.
