Diana M. Holland
Diana Maureen Holland (née Leach) is a major general in the United States Army, who commands the Mississippi Valley Division of the United States Army Corps of Engineers. She is a veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. From January 2016 to June 2017, served as Commandants of Cadets at the United States Military Academy, the first woman to hold the position. Early life and education When she was six years old, Holland, the Santa Barbara, California native and daughter of a United States Marine, was inspired to join the military by her father's and grandfather's military service. Holland attended the United States Military Academy from 1986 to 1990. While at West Point, she played lacrosse and was co-captain her senior year. Women's Lacrosse
Women's lacrosse (or girls' lacrosse), sometimes shortened to lax, is a sport with twelve players on the field at a time (including the goalkeeper). Originally played by indigenous peoples of the Americas, the modern women's game was introduced in 1890 at the St Leonard's School in St Andrews, Scotland.
