''Diamonds in the Sky'' is a 2018 Nigerian drama film directed by Kunle Afolayan and produced by Femi Adebayo. The film stars Femi Adebayo, Omowumi Dada, and Joke Silva with Ali Nuhu, Bolaji Badejo, Bolaji Oba, and Toyin Abraham in supporting roles. The film tells the story of three families where they struggle when cancer affects their lives. The film received mostly positive critics acclaim and screened worldwide. Kunle Afolayan
Kunle Afolayan (born 30 September 1975) is a Nigerian actor, producer and director. He is widely credited for elevating the quality of Nollywood movies though larger budgets, shooting on 35mm, releasing in cinemas, and improving cliché Nollywood storylines. 2019 Best Of Nollywood Awards
The 2019 Best of Nollywood Awards was the 11th edition of the ceremony and took place in the Coronation Hall of the Kano State Government in Kano State on 14 December 2019. Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje was the chief host of the event and the event was co-hosted by actress, Maryam Booth and Gbenga Adeyinka. About 100 films were considered. Ayobami Akinwale (1946 – 13 September 2020) was a Nigerian actor, producer, and academic.
