Diamond Head (film)
''Diamond Head'' is a 1962 Eastmancolor drama romance film starring Charlton Heston, Yvette Mimieux, George Chakiris, and James Darren, directed by Guy Green, and released by Columbia Pictures. The original music score was composed by John Williams, Hugo Winterhalter composed the theme, and Darren sang the title song. The soundtrack album was released by Colpix Records (CP 440). It was released on compact disc in 2006 by Film Score Monthly paired with Lalo Schifrin's ''Gone with the Wave'' Silent film star Billie Dove makes her last film appearance in a brief cameo. Guy Mervin Charles Green Officer of the Order of the British Empire, OBE British Society of Cinematographers, BSC (5 November 191315 September 2005) was an England, English film director, producer, screenwriter, and cinematographer. In 1948 in film, 1948, he won an Academy Awards, Oscar as cinematographer for the film ''Great Expectations (1946 film), Great Expectations''. In 2002, Green was given a Lifetime Achievement Award by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, BAFTA, and, in 2004, he was named an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for his lifetime contributions to British cinema. Lillian Bohny (born Bertha Eugenie Bohny; May 14, 1903 – December 31, 1997), known professionally as Billie Dove, was an American actress. Early life and career Dove was born Bertha Eugenie Bohny in New York City in 1903 to Charles and Bertha (née Kagl) Bohny, both immigrants from Switzerland. She had a younger brother, Charles Reinhardt Bohny (1906-1963). As a teen, she worked as a model to help support her family and was hired as a teenager by Florenz Ziegfeld to appear in his Ziegfeld Follies Revue.
