''Diamond Head'' is a 1962 Eastmancolor drama romance film starring Charlton Heston, Yvette Mimieux, George Chakiris, and James Darren, directed by Guy Green, and released by Columbia Pictures. The original music score was composed by John Williams, Hugo Winterhalter composed the theme, and Darren sang the title song. The soundtrack album was released by Colpix Records (CP 440). It was released on compact disc in 2006 by Film Score Monthly paired with Lalo Schifrin's ''Gone with the Wave'' Silent film star Billie Dove makes her last film appearance in a brief cameo. ''The Diamond Head Game'' is an American game show that aired from January 6 to July 4, 1975 in five-day-a-week syndication. Borrowing its name from a long dormant volcano on the island of Oahu, the series was hosted by Bob Eubanks and assistant Jane Nelson, and is the only game show ever to have been taped entirely on location in Hawaii. Alan Thicke composed the theme music. Premise ''The Diamond Head Game'' had two formats. The first format was used for the first 13 weeks. Format #1 Front game The audience was divided into four sections, each representing " one of the islands of Hawaii." Two contestants were selected from each section at a time to compete in a best-of-three faceoff for the right to play the second round. Eubanks asked a series of general knowledge toss-ups that were either true/false or multiple choice. Diamond Head are an English heavy metal music, heavy metal band formed in Stourbridge, West Midlands, in 1976. They were part of the new wave of British heavy metal, new wave of British heavy metal movement and are acknowledged by bands such as Metallica and Megadeth as a significant early influence. History Early history Brian Tatler formed the band with drummer Duncan Scott while still attending school. In June 1976 they found singer Sean Harris, who was in the same year, and went through three bass players before settling on Collin Kimberley in Feb 1978. The band recorded two self-financed demo tapes in 1979. They were recorded within six hours on a four-track, one of which was sent to Geoff Barton at Sounds (magazine), Sounds.
