''Diamond Frontier'' is a 1940 American adventure film directed by Harold D. Schuster and starring Victor McLaglen, John Loder and Anne Nagel. It was based on the story ''A Modern Monte Cristo'' by Stanley Rubin and Edmund L. Hartmann. The film's sets were designed by the art director Jack Otterson. Plot A man tries to enforce the law in a rowdy South African diamond-mining town. Francis Ford (actor)
Francis Ford (born Francis Joseph Feeney; August 14, 1881 – September 5, 1953) was an American film actor, writer and director. He was the mentor and elder brother of film director John Ford. He also appeared in many of the latter's movies, including ''Young Mr. Lincoln'' (1939) and ''The Quiet Man'' (1952). Biography Ford was born in Portland, Maine. He was the son of John Augustine Feeney, who was born in the village of Spiddal, County Galway, Ireland, on June 15, 1854. His mother was Barbara "Abbey" Curran. Ferris Taylor
Robert Ferris Taylor (March 25, 1888 – March 7, 1961) was an American film actor and vaudeville performer. Biography Taylor owned a vaudeville company, the Taylor Players. Besides his acting, Taylor sometimes sang in vaudeville programs. A 1922 newspaper article noted, "he possesses a deep baritone-basso voice". The group included his brother, Glen H. Taylor, who later became a U.S. senator from Idaho. In 1930, Taylor went to Hollywood, gaining a few appearances in films in bit parts and as an extra. He eventually appeared in more than 120 films between 1933 and 1958. He also made guest appearances on ''The Cisco Kid'' starring Duncan Renaldo and Leo Carillo in the early 1950s. He died in Hollywood, California from a heart attack.
