Joseph DiCarlo
Joseph J. C. DiCarlo (March 21, 1936 – October 22, 2020) was an American politician who served in both houses of the Massachusetts General Court. He was expelled from the Senate in 1977 after he was convicted of extortion. He was the first Massachusetts State Senator to be expelled. Early life DiCarlo was born on March 21, 1936 in Somerville, Massachusetts. He grew up in Revere, Massachusetts and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School, Boston College, and Boston University. Prior to entering politics, DiCarlo was a junior high school history teacher in Revere. Political career In 1964, DiCarlo was elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives. During his first term he was named chairman of the education committee. Rosemary Anne DiCarlo (born 1947) is an American diplomat who has served as United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs since May 2018. She previously served as acting United States Ambassador to the United Nations following the resignation of Susan Rice to become the National Security Advisor. Early life and education DiCarlo graduated from Brown University with a B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. in comparative literature, as well as Slavic languages and literature. She speaks French and Russian. Career Before joining the United States Foreign Service, DiCarlo was a member of the secretariat of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Gabi DiCarlo (born July 10, 1985) is a former American stock car racing driver. DiCarlo competed in the X-1R Pro Cup Series, the ARCA Racing Series, and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. DiCarlo competed in 51 career ARCA races between 2007 and 2009, and achieved a career best 9th place finish at Kansas Speedway in 2008. George DiCarlo
George Thomas DiCarlo (born July 13, 1963) is an American former competition swimmer who won the gold medal and broke the Olympic record in the 400-meter freestyle event at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. At the 1984 Olympics, he also won the silver medal in the 1,500-meter freestyle. DiCarlo attended University of Arizona, and competed for the Arizona Wildcats swimming and diving team.
