Dharbandora
Dharbandora is a sub-division and Taluka of Goa, India. At present, it has a population of 30,000 to 40,000 people. History The creation of a new Dharbandora Taluka, the 12th Taluka in Goa, was announced by the Chief Minister of Goa Digambar Kamat on 25 March 2010, in his Budget Speech before the Goa Legislative Assembly. A Committee chaired by the Revenue Minister of Goa Jose Philip D'Souza steered the creation of the Taluka. By a notification dated 16 March 2011, the Government of Goa notified the 18 villages of Aglote, Bandoli, Camarconda, Caranzol, Codli, Colem, Cormonem, Darbandora, Gangem, Molem, Moissal, Piliem, Sancordem, Sangod, Sigao, Sonauli, Surla and Usgao to incorporate the Dharbandora Taluka. Gangem and Usgao were carved out from Ponda taluka while all the remaining villages were earlier a part of the Sanguem Taluka. South Goa district is one of two districts that comprises the state of Goa, India, within the region known as the Konkan. Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary And Mollem National Park
Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park is a protected area located in the Western Ghats of West India, in Dharbandora taluk, Goa State, along the eastern border with Karnataka. The area is situated near the town of Molem, east of Panaji, the state capital of Goa. National Highway 4A divides it into two parts and the Mormugao - Londa railway line passes through the area. It is located between 15°15"30' to 15°29"30' N and 74°10"15' to 74°20"15' E. It contains several important temples dating to the Kadambas of Goa, and home to waterfalls, such as Dudhsagar Falls and Tambdi Falls. Usgao is a village in Ponda taluka, North Goa district, India. For the purposes of the census, it is considered a "Census Town". It is part of the Usgao-Ganjem Village ''Panchayat''. In the 2011 Census, Usgao was found to have an area of 25.40 square kilometres, with a total of 2,867 households, and a population of 12,436 persons comprising 6,370 males and 6,066 females. Dudhsagar Falls
Dudhsagar Falls () is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River in the Indian state of Goa. It is 60 km from Panaji by road and is located on the Belgavi–Vasco Da Gama rail route about 46 km east of Madgaon and 80 km south of Belgavi. Dudhsagar Falls is amongst India's tallest waterfalls with a height of 310 m (1017 feet) and an average width of 30 metres (100 feet). The falls is located in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park among the Western Ghats. The falls is a punctuation mark in the journey of the Mandovi River from the Western Ghats to Panjim where it meets the Arabian sea. Digambar Kamat
Digambar Kamat (born 8 March 1954) is an Indian politician. He was the Chief Minister of Goa from 2007 to 2012. Manohar Parikar succeeded him after his term as the Chief Minister of Goa. From 2006 to 2019, he was the president of Swimming Federation of India. Currently, he serves as an MLA from the Margao constituency. Early life Digambar was born in Margao.
