Dhakuria Assembly constituency was a Legislative Assembly constituency of South 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Overview As a consequence of the orders of the Delimitation Commission, Dhakuria Assembly constituency ceases to exist from 2011. It was part of Kolkata Dakshin (Lok Sabha constituency). Before 2011, Dhakuria Assembly constituency was composed of the following: Ward Nos. 91, 92, 93, 96, 99, 100 of Kolkata Municipal Corporation. The All India Trinamool Congress (English: All India Grassroots Congress; AITC), colloquially the Trinamool Congress ( TMC) is an Indian political party which is predominantly active in West Bengal. Prof. Saugata Roy (born 6 August 1946) is an Indian politician of Trinamool Congress and a member of parliament in the Lok Sabha of the Indian Parliament representing the Dum Dum constituency in the 16th Lok Sabha. The West Bengal Legislative Assembly election, 2001 was held in Indian state of West Bengal to elect 294 members of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. Kshiti Goswami (24 January 1943 – 24 November 2019) was an Indian politician from West Bengal belonging to Revolutionary Socialist Party. He was a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. He was a minister of West Bengal Government as well. He also served as the secretary of Revolutionary Socialist Party's state unit and general secretary of Revolutionary Socialist Party's central committee.
