Dexter Freebish
Dexter Freebish is a band based in Austin, Texas, consisting of Robert Kyle (lead singer), Scott Romig (guitarist), Chris Lowe (bassist/backing vocalist), Charles Martin (additional guitarist), and Rob Schilz (drummer). They are perhaps best known for the 2000 single "Leaving Town," which peaked at number 11 on the ''Billboard'' Bubbling Under Hot 100. They have released five albums and one extended play, with their most recent release being the October 19, 2010 LP ''Shine On''. History The band was originally named "The Twigs" while starting out in Austin, TX playing a residency at Hondo's on 6th Street. They later changed it to Dexter Freebish. The name comes from "Dexter Frebish's Electric Roller Ride", the name of a former roller coaster at Astroworld theme park in Houston, TX. Maxis is an American video game developer and a division of Electronic Arts (EA). The studio was founded in 1987 by Will Wright and Jeff Braun, and acquired by EA in 1997. Simlish is a fictional language featured in EA's ''Sim'' series of games. It debuted in ''SimCopter'' (1996), and has been especially prominent in ''The Sims'' franchise, as well as in its spinoff ''MySims'' series. Simlish can also be heard in ''Sims 2''. '' Sims 3'', ''SimCity 4'', ''SimCity Societies'', ''SimCity'' (2013 version), and '' SimCity BuildIt'' but far less frequently. Civilized Creatures in ''Spore'' can also be taught to speak Simlish. ''NHL 2004'', developed by the EA Black Box studios, is an ice hockey video game. It is the successor to '' NHL 2003''. The game adds three European Elite Leagues: Germany's Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL), Sweden's Elitserien (SEL), and Finland's SM-liiga. Features The game included many improvements to its gameplay (more realistic puck and rebound control and better checking) and game modes (a completely reworked franchise mode renamed "Dynasty"). In addition to the gameplay improvements, one particular non-gameplay improvement was added. When a team wins the Stanley Cup Finals, a large-scale celebration ensues. It included players skating around the ice holding the Cup over their heads. This then led to the common snapshot of the team and the coaches that holds true in the NHL. ''Superman Returns'' is a video game based on the film of the same name. It was developed by EA Tiburon and published by Electronic Arts in conjunction with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Comics. In the game, Superman combats Bizarro, as well as other classic villains (including Metallo, Mongul, and Riot) as well as being able to play as Bizarro in one of the minigames. It was produced for the Xbox 360 as well as the PlayStation 2, Xbox and Nintendo DS.
