Dewsbury Rams
The Dewsbury Rams are a professional English rugby league club based in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire that compete in the Championship. They play their home games at the Tetley's Stadium, on Owl Lane. The Rams' main fanbase comes from their hometown of Dewsbury, but they also hold a strong following in Shaw Cross as well as in neighbouring Gawthorpe and Ossett, among other places. Prior to the 1997 season, the club was known as Dewsbury R.L.F.C. The club won their sole league title in 1972–73, after finishing the regular season in 8th place. The club has also won the Challenge Cup twice. Dewsbury is a minster and market town in the Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees in West Yorkshire, England. It lies on the River Calder and on an arm of the Calder and Hebble Navigation waterway. The Rugby Football League is the governing body for professional rugby league in England, and until 1995 for the whole British Isles. George Hotel, Huddersfield
The George Hotel in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England, is a Grade II#England and Wales, Grade II listed building famous as the birthplace of rugby league football in 1895. The 60 bed hotel was built in 1851 and closed in January 2013, with the receivership, receivers looking for a new buyer. The History of the Bradford Bulls stretches back from their former incarnation as Bradford F.C. in 1863 to 2017. 1863–1879 The Bradford Football Club was formed in 1863 by a group mostly made up of ex-Bramham College students. In their early years, the club played a mixture of association football rules and what would become rugby union laws. Bradford's home ground was Great Horton Road, then home of Bradford Cricket Club.
