Laxmi Prasad Devkota
Laxmi Prasad Devkota ( ne, लक्ष्मीप्रसाद देवकोटा) (1909-1959) was a Nepali poet, playwright, and novelist. Honored with the title of Mahakabi ( ne, माहाकवि) in Nepali literature, he was known as a poet with a golden heart. He is considered to be the greatest and most famous literary figure in Nepal. Some of his popular works include the best-selling ''Muna Madan'', along with ''Sulochana'', ''Kunjini'', ''Bhikhari'', and '' Shakuntala''. Upendra Devkota
Upendra Devkota ( ne, उपेन्द्र देवकोटा; 18 December 1953 – 18 June 2018) was a Nepali neurosurgeon and founder of the first neurological trauma unit in Nepal, located at Bir Hospital. He held the post of Minister for Health, Science and Technology, Government of Nepal. Devkota was the founder of the National Institute of Neurological and Allied Sciences, the first institute dedicated to Neurosciences in the country, and known as the father of modern Neurosurgery in Nepal. Rishi Devkota ( ne, ऋषि देवकोटा), alias Azad (आजाद), was a Nepalese communist leader. He was a Central Committee member of the Communist Party of Nepal (Fourth Convention), but resigned from the party in 1980, accusing it of reformism and being soft on Soviet social imperialism.
