Devin Lucien
Devin Lucien (born June 26, 1993) is an American football wide receiver for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at UCLA before transferring as a graduate to Arizona State. He was drafted by the New England Patriots in the 7th round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Professional career New England Patriots The New England Patriots selected Lucien in the seventh round (225th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft. On September 3, 2016, he was released by the Patriots as part of final roster cuts and was signed to the practice squad the next day. After spending his entire rookie year on the practice squad, Lucien won his first Super Bowl when the Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI by a score of 34–28 in overtime. 2020 CFL Season
The 2020 CFL season would have been the 67th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it would have been the 63rd season of the Canadian Football League. It was originally scheduled to begin on June 11; on April 7, the start of the season was delayed to begin no sooner than July due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. The CFL planned to obtain financial assistance from the federal government. In May, the CFL delayed the season to no sooner than September, and announced that the Grey Cup was to be played as a home advantage game rather than as a neutral site game in Regina, Saskatchewan, as originally planned. The injured reserve list ( IR list) is a designation used in North American professional sports leagues for athletes who suffer injuries and become unable to play. The exact name of the list varies by league; it is known as "injured reserve" in the National Football League (NFL) and National Hockey League (NHL), the "injured list" in the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the injured list (historically known as the "disabled list") in Major League Baseball (MLB). The National Basketball Association (NBA) does not have a direct analog to an injured reserve list, instead using a more general-purpose "inactive list" that does not require a player to be injured. Blake is a surname which originated from Old English. The Alliance of American Football (AAF) was a professional American football minor league. The AAF consisted of eight centrally owned and operated teams in the southern and western United States, seven of which were located in metropolitan areas with at least one major professional sports franchise. Founded by Charlie Ebersol and Bill Polian in 2018, the AAF began play on February 9, 2019. The league was scheduled to have a 10-week regular season and conclude with a championship game on April 27.
