DevelopmentWA is a land development agency of the Government of Western Australia, Western Australian government. It was formed in September 2019 as a merger of the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority and the Western Australian Land Authority, then known as LandCorp, Landcorp. Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority
The Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority (MRA) was a statutory authority of the Government of Western Australia. It was established on 1 January 2012 pursuant to the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority Act 2011 and reported to the Minister for Planning. East Perth, Western Australia
East Perth is an inner suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located next to the Perth central business district. Claise Brook and Claisebrook Cove are within the suburb. Yagan Square
Yagan Square is a public space and a component of the Perth City Link in Perth, Western Australia. It is situated between the Horseshoe Bridge and the Perth Busport in the eastern part of the Perth City Link precinct, occupying . Construction of the square began in February 2016, and it was opened on 3 March 2018. It is named after the Aboriginal warrior Yagan. John Carey (Australian Politician)
John Newton Carey (born 11 July 1974) is an Australian politician. A member of the Australian Labor Party, Carey has been the member for Perth in the Western Australian Legislative Assembly, the lower house of the Parliament of Western Australia, since 11 March 2017. Since 19 March 2021, Carey has been the minister for housing and minister for local government. Since 21 December 2021, Carey has also been the minister for lands and minister for homelessness. Australian Marine Complex
The Australian Marine Complex (AMC) is a marine industry precinct located at Henderson, Western Australia, 23km south of the Perth CBD. It is located on Cockburn Sound. Overview The complex was established in 2003 when the Common User Facility, owned by the Western Australian Government, commenced operations. It is home to approximately 150 businesses in five designated zones. Alan Carpenter
Alan John Carpenter (born 4 January 1957) is a former Australian politician who served as the 28th Premier of Western Australia, from 2006 to 2008. From Albany, Carpenter graduated from the University of Western Australia, and worked as a journalist before entering politics. A member of the Labor Party, he was first elected to the Legislative Assembly at the 1996 state election, representing the seat of Willagee. In the Gallop ministry, which took office following the 2001 election, Carpenter was Minister for Education (later Education and Training), as well as holding several other portfolios. The Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation is a department of the Government of Western Australia. The department was formed on 1 July 2017, out of the former Department of State Development, the industry promotion and innovation functions of the Department of Commerce and the Western Australian Tourism Commission. A restructuring of the Western Australian government departments was part of Mark McGowan's election campaign and, in the month after taking office, the number of government departments was reduced from 41 to 25. The department is responsible for the portfolios of economic development, international trade and investment, tourism as well as the promotion of the defence, international education, science and innovation sectors.
