Deuce (band)
Deuce were a British pop group that found moderate success in the mid-1990s. A two male, two female quartet, they released four Top 30 singles in the UK charts during 1995 and 1996, before splitting up in 1997. Career The band was formed in 1994 by Tom Watkins, who had managed the Pet Shop Boys, 2wo Third3, Bros and East 17; and Kelly O'Keefe who was doing work experience in his office. He admired her distinctive vocals, style and kitsch sensibility, and they decided to put together a boy/girl band with O'Keefe as lead vocalist. O'Keefe was a student of The BRIT School, studying music, and recruited her school friend Lisa Armstrong, a dancer. Watkins then discovered Craig Robert Young and Paul Holmes and the group were formed. Their debut single, " Call It Love", entered the UK Singles Chart at number 21 on 21 January 1995 and climbed to a peak of number 11. Dance-pop is a popular music subgenre that originated in the late 1970s to early 1980s. It is generally uptempo music intended for nightclubs with the intention of being danceable but also suitable for contemporary hit radio. Sherrie Lynn Hutchinson (born 17 September 1950) is an English actress, television personality and novelist. Michelle Patricia Gayle (born 2 February 1971) is a British singer, songwriter, actress and writer. Gayle had success as a soul and R&B singer in the 1990s, having achieved seven top 40 singles in the UK Singles Chart. These include "Sweetness" and " Do You Know". Boyzone were an Irish boy band, created in 1993 by talent manager Louis Walsh. Before even recording any material, Boyzone made an appearance on RTÉ's '' The Late Late Show''. Ultimate Kaos
Ultimate Kaos (stylised as Ultimate KAOS) were a British boyband from the 1990s, who were formed by Simon Cowell. Its original members comprised Jomo Baxter, Jayde Spence, Ryan Elliott, Nick Grant and the then 9 years old Haydon Eshun. Career In 1992, the band were originally known as Chaos, but their only single issued under this name was a cover version of the Michael Jackson song " Farewell My Summer Love". Before they released the single, they were Sinitta's backing dancers, as Sinitta at the time, was dating Cowell. Haydon Eshun had previously appeared on Michael Barrymore's TV programme showcasing British talent. "The Gift of Christmas" is a 1995 charity single by supergroup Childliners, with the proceeds of the single going to Childline. The song was written by Tony Mortimer of East 17. In a similar ilk to "Do They Know It's Christmas?" by Band Aid, the song features popular chart acts such as MN8, Boyzone, East 17, Backstreet Boys, Dannii Minogue, Peter Andre and more. It peaked at number 9 on the UK Singles Chart, number 10 in Ireland and number 7 in Scotland.
