Detroit (Amtrak Station)
Detroit station, also known as Baltimore Street station, is an intermodal transit station in Detroit, Michigan. It currently serves Amtrak. It also serves as a stop for Greyhound Lines, Detroit Department of Transportation buses, Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation buses and QLine streetcars. It is located at the southwest corner of Woodward and West Baltimore avenues in the New Center area. Amtrak's ''Wolverine'' line serves an elevated platform at the main building, while the QLine serves an adjacent platform on Woodward Avenue. The Detroit People Mover (DPM) is a elevated automated people mover system in Detroit, Michigan, United States. The system operates in a one-way loop on a single track encircling downtown Detroit, using Intermediate Capacity Transit System linear induction motor technology developed by the Urban Transportation Development Corporation. The People Mover is owned and operated by the Detroit Transportation Corporation, an agency of the Detroit city government. Detroit M-1 Rail Line
The QLine (stylized as QLINE), originally known as M-1 Rail by its developers, is a streetcar system in Detroit, Michigan, United States. Opened on May 12, 2017, it connects Downtown Detroit with Midtown and New Center, running along Woodward Avenue (M-1) for its entire route. The system is operated by M-1 Rail, a nonprofit organization. In December 2011, city and state leaders announced a plan to offer bus rapid transit service for the city and metropolitan area instead of light rail as had previously been proposed. Conrail , formally the Consolidated Rail Corporation, was the primary Class I railroad in the Northeastern United States between 1976 and 1999. The trade name Conrail is a portmanteau based on the company's legal name.
