Destino
''Destino'' is an animated short film released in 2003 by Walt Disney Animation Studios. ''Destino'' is unique in that its production originally began in 1945, 58 years before its eventual completion in 2003. The project was originally a collaboration between Walt Disney and Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dalí, and features music written by Mexican songwriter Armando Domínguez and performed by Mexican singer Dora Luz. It was included in the Animation Show of Shows in 2003. History ''Destino'' (Spanish for "Destiny") was storyboarded by Disney studio artist John Hench and artist Salvador Dalí for eight months in late 1945 and 1946; however production ceased not long after. Dora Luz (27 May 1918 – 12 July 2018) was a Mexican singer and recording artist. She is known for her performance in Walt Disney's ''The Three Caballeros'' (1944), in which she sings Agustín Lara's " You Belong to My Heart" to Donald Duck. ''Fantasia 2000'' is a 1999 American animated musical anthology film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. Produced by Roy E. Disney and Donald W. Ernst, it is the 38th Disney animated feature film and sequel to 1940's ''Fantasia''. Like its predecessor, ''Fantasia 2000'' consists of animated segments set to pieces of classical music. Dominique Monféry
Dominique Monféry (born May 4, 1965) is a French director, storyboard artist and also an animator. Education Monféry studied at the Gobelins School of the Image. Career Monféry started his career at Disney in 1990 with '' DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp'', working as an animator and animation supervisor. He was an animator of the character Claude Frollo from ''The Hunchback of Notre Dame''. He also worked as an animation supervisor on ''Hercules'' (on the characters Titans and Cyclops), ''Tarzan'' (on the character Sabor), ''The Emperor's New Groove'' and ''The Jungle Book 2''. Roy E. John Hench (June 29, 1908 – February 5, 2004) was an American artist, designer and director at The Walt Disney Company. For 65 years, he helped design and develop various Disney attractions and theme parks. Early life Hench was born on June 29, 1908 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and raised in Southern California. He attended the Art Students League , Los Angeles Art Students' League. "The Steadfast Tin Soldier" (Danish: ''Den standhaftige tinsoldat'') is a literary fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen about a tin soldier's love for a paper ballerina.
