Dessie O'Hare
Dessie O'Hare (born 26 October 1956), also known as "The Border Fox", is an Irish republican paramilitary who was once the most wanted man in Ireland. O'Hare was originally in the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) but left in the late 1970s following a series of disciplinary clashes. He later joined the Irish National Liberation Army (INLA). After kidnapping a Dublin dentist and cutting off two of his fingers in 1987 he was imprisoned until 2006, when he was granted extended temporary release. Early life O'Hare was born in Keady, County Armagh, Northern Ireland, into a family with a strong republican background. His grandmother was imprisoned for six months in Holloway Gaol for "keeping republicans", and his father and six of his uncles were interned between 1940 and 1944. Keady () is a village and civil parish in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. It is south of Armagh and near the border with the Republic of Ireland. It is situated mainly in the historic barony of Armagh with six townlands in the barony of Tiranny. It had a population of 3,051 people in the 2011 Census. Dublin (; , or ) is the capital and largest city of Ireland. Castleblayney
Castleblayney (; ) is a town in County Monaghan, Ireland. The town had a population of 3,607 as of the 2016 census. Castleblayney is near the border with County Armagh in Northern Ireland, and lies on the N2 road from Dublin to Derry and Letterkenny. Geography The town lies above the western shore of Lough Muckno, the largest lake in County Monaghan. The River Fane flows eastwards from the lake to the Irish Sea at Dundalk in County Louth. As the Irish name of the lake ('the place where pigs swim') suggests, the area is associated with the Black Pig's Dyke, also known locally in parts of Counties Cavan and Monaghan as the Worm Ditch, an ancient Iron Age boundary of Ulster. The Irish People's Liberation Organisation was a small Irish Revolutionary socialism, socialist Irish republicanism, republican paramilitary organisation formed in 1986 by disaffected and expelled members of the Irish National Liberation Army (INLA), whose factions coalesced in the aftermath of the Supergrass (informer), supergrass trials. It developed a reputation for intra-republican and sectarian violence and criminality, before being Night of the Long Knives (1992), forcibly disbanded by the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) in 1992.
