Arthur Henry Rosson (24 August 1886 – 17 June 1960) was an English film director. From 1917 to 1948, Rosson directed 61 feature films (including co-direction of ''Red River (1948 film), Red River''). He also worked on many major films as a second unit director until 1960, particularly for Cecil B. DeMille. Biography Arthur Rosson was born on 24 August 1886 in London, England. He was the first child born of a jockey horse trainer, Arthur Richard Rosson, and a French woman, Hellen Rochefort Rosson. Rosson came from a film-making family. His brother, Harold Rosson, was an Academy Award-nominated cinematographer and several other family members were involved in the early film industry. Dulcie Cooper (3 November 1903 – 3 September 1981), briefly known as Dulcy Cooper, was an Australian-born American stage actress who also performed in silent movies and later in television. Early life Dulcie Cooper was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia in 1903 to English parents. Her father, Ashley Cooper, was a newspaperman who later became interested in theater. Part of her girlhood was spent in California. While the family resided in Vancouver, British Columbia she was given some child roles. Known for her curly light blonde hair, she began to perform when she was only two and half years of age. Margaret Mann (4 April 1868, in Aberdeen, Scotland – 4 February 1941, in Los Angeles, California), was a Scottish-American actress. Biography Margaret Mann starred in a number of major silent films such as ''Black Beauty'' in 1921 and played the lead role in John Ford's 1928 drama ''Four Sons'', one of John Wayne's first films. She often played kind-hearted or suffering motherly roles. With the advent of sound films her roles got notably smaller and she was often uncredited. She portrayed the kindly grandmother Mrs. Mack in two ''Our Gang'' comedies in 1931. She also played bit parts in movies like ''Frankenstein'', '' You Can't Take It With You'', ''Gone with the Wind'' and '' Mr. Smith Goes to Washington'' (1939). Wilhelm Fried Fuchs ( hu, Fried Vilmos; January 1, 1879 – May 8, 1952), commonly and better known as William Fox, was a Hungarian-American film industry executive who founded the Fox Film Corporation in 1915 and the Fox West Coast Theatres chain in the 1920s. Although he lost control of his film businesses in 1930, his name was used by 20th Century Fox (now ''20th Century Studios'') and continues to be used in the trademarks of the present-day Fox Corporation, including the Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox News, Fox Sports and Foxtel.
