Derrick Nix
Derrick Nix (born December 11, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for the Windy City Bulls of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for Michigan State. High school career Nix attended Pershing High School where he averaged 15 points and 15 rebounds as a senior, leading Pershing to the Class A State title and earning a Detroit Free Press Class A All-State selection, and All-Metro and All-Detroit honors. College career Nix played college basketball for Michigan State University. In his freshman year, he made the 2010 NCAA Final Four. Nix had his best season with the Spartans in his senior year when he averaged 9.9 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists as Michigan State made NCAA Sweet 16. Professional career After completing four seasons at MSU, Nix went undrafted in the 2013 NBA Draft. In July 2013, he signed a three-year deal Slovenian club KK Krka, but left the team in preseason. The Carrier Classic was a series of college basketball games that were played on the deck of a U. S. Navy aircraft carrier. The first game was held on November 11, 2011 aboard , between Michigan State and North Carolina. President Barack Obama attended this game. In 2012, the similar Armed Forces Classic was established. The 2010 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament involved 65 schools playing in a single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division I college basketball as a culmination of the 2009–10 basketball season. The Cleveland Charge are an American professional basketball team in the NBA G League based in Cleveland, Ohio, and are affiliated with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The team plays its home games at the Wolstein Center in downtown Cleveland. The franchise was founded in 2001 as the Huntsville Flight, based in Huntsville, Alabama, before moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2005, where they were known as the Albuquerque Thunderbirds until 2010. The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official List of developmental and minor sports leagues, minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. Polska Liga Koszykówki (PLK) (English language, English: Polish Basketball League) is a professional men's club basketball list of basketball leagues, league in Poland. It constitutes the first and highest-tier level of the Polish basketball league system, Polish league pyramid. The winning team of the final round are crowned the Polish Champions of that season. It began in 1947–48, with the name of I Liga, and was originally organized by the Polish Basketball Federation.
