Derrick Goh
Derrick Goh Soon Hee ( zh, s=吴顺喜, p=Wú Shùnxǐ; born 1968) is a Singaporean politician and banker. A member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), he has been the Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Nee Soon Link division of Nee Soon GRC since 2020. Early life and education Goh was born into a family of three siblings. He graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor of Accountancy (with Honours) in 1992. Goh obtained a Master of Business Administration (with Honours) in Finance at The Wharton School in 2006 under a scholarship from American Express (Amex). Career Goh spent more than ten years at American Express, and was based in London and New York. Goh joined DBS Bank in 2008, and was its Chief Operating Officer for Institutional Banking Group before becoming the head of its subsidiary, POSB Bank, on 1 October 2012. 2020 Singaporean General Election
General elections were held in Singapore on Friday, 10 July 2020 to elect 93 members to the Parliament of Singapore across 31 constituencies. Parliament was dissolved and the general election called by President Halimah Yacob on 23 June, on the advice of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. It elected members of parliament to the 14th Parliament of Singapore since Singapore's independence in 1965, using the first-past-the-post electoral system. Voting was mandatory for all Singaporeans who were aged 21 or above as of 1 March 2020. This election was the 18th general election in Singapore and the 13th since independence. Carrie Tan Huimin ( zh, s=陈浍敏, p=Chén Huìmǐn; born 1982) is a Singaporean politician. A member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), she has been the Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Nee Soon South division of Nee Soon GRC since 2020. Prior to joining politics, Tan founded Daughters of Tomorrow (DOT), an organisation which enables livelihoods and financial self-sufficiency for underprivileged women in Singapore.
