Derrick Edwards (born 24 May 1968), is an Antiguan and Barbudan former footballer and manager of the Antigua and Barbuda national team. He is currently the head coach of Grenades F.C. International career Nicknamed "Pretty Boy", Edwards made his debut for Antigua and Barbuda in 1988 and was member of the national team for 12 years. He played in 10 FIFA World Cup qualification games. After retiring as a player, he became coach of SAP F.C. The 2002 FIFA World Cup qualification competition was a series of tournaments organised by the six FIFA confederations. Each confederation — the AFC (Asia), CAF (Africa), CONCACAF (North, Central America and Caribbean), CONMEBOL (South America), OFC (Oceania), and UEFA (Europe) — was allocated a certain number of the 32 places at the tournament. 199 teams entered the tournament qualification rounds, competing for 32 spots in the final tournament. Bermuda National Sports Centre is a multi-purpose sports complex in Devonshire Parish, Bermuda, just to the east of the capital, Hamilton. The Hasely Crawford Stadium, formerly the National Stadium, is located in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. It was inaugurated and formally opened by Prime Minister George Chambers on 12 June 1982. The 1998 FIFA World Cup qualification, CONCACAF zone ran from March 1996 to November 1997 in order to determine the three CONCACAF representatives at the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
