Derrick Campbell
Derrick Nathan Campbell (born February 18, 1972) is a Canadians, Canadian Short track speed skating, short track speed skater who competed in the 1994 Winter Olympics and in the 1998 Winter Olympics. He was born in Cambridge, Ontario. In 1994 he was a member of the Canadian relay team which finished fourth in the Short track speed skating at the 1994 Winter Olympics, 5000 metre relay competition. In the Short track speed skating at the 1994 Winter Olympics, 1000 m event he finished sixth and in the Short track speed skating at the 1994 Winter Olympics, 500 m contest he finished eleventh. In the Short track speed skating at the 1994 Winter Olympics, 1000 m contest Campbell was obstructed by the Briton Nicky Gooch, who was disqualified. Short-track speed skating is a form of competitive ice skating, ice speed skating. In competitions, multiple skaters (typically between four and six) skate on an oval ice track with a length of . The rink itself is long by wide, which is the same size as an Olympic-sized figure skating rink and an international-sized ice hockey rink. Marc Gagnon (born May 24, 1975) is a Canadian former short track speed skater. He is a four-time Overall World Champion for 1993, 1994, 1996 and 1998, and winner of three Olympic gold medals. Biography Born in Chicoutimi, Quebec, Gagnon started his Olympic career in 1994, when he had already won the 1993 World Championships. He won a bronze in the 1000 m event. Four years later, in Nagano, Japan, Gagnon won a gold medal with the Canadian relay team. The 2002 Salt Lake City Games proved to be Gagnon's best Olympics, with a total of three medals. A bronze in the inaugural 1500 m event, and two golds; in the 500 m and again as a part of the relay team. Nicholas "Nicky" John Gooch (born 30 January 1973) is a British short track speed skater who competed in the 1992 Winter Olympics, 1994 Winter Olympics, 1998 Winter Olympics and 2002 Winter Olympics. Gooch was born in Roehampton, south-west London, United Kingdom. In 1992 he was a member of the British relay team which finished sixth in the 5000 metre relay competition. Olympic Games Two years later he won the bronze medal in the 500 metres contest and finished seventh in the 1000 metres competition at the Lillehammer Olympics.
