Derince Belediyespor Women's Football ( tr, Derince Belediyespor Bayan Futbol Takımı) is the women's football team of the Turkish multi-sport club of Derince Belediyespor, a.k.a. Derince Spor A.Ş., based in Derince district of Kocaeli, Turkey. History Derince Belediyespor entered the national competition in the Turkish Women's Second League's 2011–12 season playing in the Division Marmara A. The team was promoted to the Women's First League after defeating Marmara Üniversitesispor in the final match of the play-offs. In 2012–13, in their first season in the top women's league, they ranked 6th. The team finished the 2013–14 season in the third place ahead of Kdz. Ereğlispor. Derince Belediyespor withdrew from the Women's First League one week before the beginning of the 2014–15 season and two days before the deadline of the footballer transfer term. The Turkish Women's Football Super League ( tr, Kadınlar Süper Ligi), formerly the First Women's Football League (also known as the ''Turkcell Women's Football Super League'' for sponsorship reasons), is the top level women's football league of Turkey. In the 2022–23 season, one group of 10 teams and one group of nine teams play a double round robin and finals to decide a champion club, which qualifies for a spot in the UEFA Women's Champions League. On 8 March 2021, the International Women's Day, the Turkish Football Federation signed a sponsorship agreement with the Turkish mobile phone operator Turkcell. Derince
Derince is a seaport, city and district of Kocaeli Province of Turkey. The mayor is Zeki Aygün ( AK Parti). Derince Port is one of the few ports in Turkey under government control. The port is operated by the Turkish State Railways (TCDD). Having one of the biggest storage area in the region, the port is widely used for finished vehicle product transportation. Derince is one of the few ports with railway connection in that area, and has the longest rail network within the port. Two rail ferry services use Derince Port, Tekirdağ-Derince operated by TCDD and Derince-Chornomorsk/Poti operated by Bati Wagon. The port is in the privatization list of Privatization Administration. Adana (; ; ) is a major city in southern Turkey. It is situated on the Seyhan River, inland from the Mediterranean Sea. The administrative seat of Adana province, it has a population of 2.26 million.
