Sai Kung Friends Football Club () is a Hong Kong football club which currently competes in the Hong Kong Third Division. History In 1997–98, they finished third in Hong Kong Second Division, but due to first and second HKFC and Jung Fuk gave up on promotion to Hong Kong First Division. Sai Kung Friends were promoted to Hong Kong First Division for the first time. Although having Brazilian striker, Tomy Adriano Giacomeli on the team, their overall strength was rather weak. Of the 8 teams in the 1998-99 First Division, they ranked 7th. However, HKFC and Fire Services both declined promotion, allowing Friends to remain in the First Division. In 1999–2000, striker Tomy Adriano Giacomeli transferred to Happy Valley, Sai Kung Friends' strength continued to decline. Finally, after finishing seventh place in the top league for two seasons in a row, Sai Kung Friends announced retirement from football rather than accept a demotion back to lower divisions. Sai Kung District SA
Sai Kung District Sports Association () is a Hong Kong district sports association of Sai Kung District which currently competes in the Hong Kong Second Division. The club plays the majority of its home matches at Sai Kung Tang Shiu Kin Sports Ground. History Sai Kung District began fielding a football team in the Hong Kong football league system in 2003 as part of a Hong Kong Football Association initiative to involve district representative teams. Sai Kung were part of a group of 11 districts who participated in the inaugural season of this project. During the 2007–08, Sai Kung were able to recruit former Hong Kong national under-23 football team members Leung Sing Kit and Lee Wai Wo as coaches, as well as actor Jerry Lamb as a player. Hong Kong Third Division League is the fourth-highest division overall in the Hong Kong football league system under the organization of Hong Kong Football Association. Starting with the 2012–13 season, the two divisions of Hong Kong Third Division League were merged into one. Teams of Third Division League in the 2012–13 team were the 2 final round losing team and the 3rd to 10th placed teams of Hong Kong Third A Division League, along with the 3rd and 4th placed teams of Hong Kong Third District Division League. Tommy Adriano Giacomelli (born 29 April 1974), sometimes known as just Tommy, is a Brazilian former professional footballer. Giacomelli played in Brazil for Ponte Preta and Indipendente, in Hong Kong for Sai Kung Friends and Happy Valley, in Lebanon for Sagesse and Nejmeh, and in Greece for Apollon Kalamarias.
