Derek Wayne Youngsma is the drummer for the Orange County, California metalcore band Bleeding Through. Formerly of Cast in Stone, Youngsma joined the band prior the band's second release 2002's '' Portrait of the Goddess''. He replaced Troy Born after he left in 2002. Personal life He is Christian, straight edge and married to his wife, Jessica. They have two children together, a daughter Zoe (born 2008) and a son Ezra (born 2010). Redlands ( ) is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 73,168, up from 68,747 at the 2010 census. The city is located approximately west of Palm Springs and east of Los Angeles. History The area now occupied by Redlands was originally part of the territory of the Morongo and Aguas Calientes tribes of Cahuilla people. Kung Fu Records is an American independent record label founded in 1996 by Joe Escalante and Warren Fitzgerald of the punk rock band The Vandals. Founded in order to release a record by the Riverside, California band Assorted Jelly Beans, the label soon grew to include a roster of notable artists such as The Ataris, Ozma, Tsunami Bomb, and The Vandals themselves. In 2000 Escalante started Kung Fu Films as a subsidiary of the music label in order to release DVDs of live concerts, music videos, band documentaries, and independent films. In 2005 Kung Fu also spawned the spinoff label Broken Sounds Records, focusing on hardcore releases. It was the band's last album before their split in 2014 and their reunion in 2018. Background The band planned to write and record their seventh studio album once they come back from touring. They planned to release the yet to be titled album anywhere from mid to late 2011, which bassist Ryan Wombacher explained in a November 2010 interview: On November 14, 2011, the band announced that the name of their new record would be called "The Great Fire". Background The album is the first to be released by the band through Rise Records due to their shift to Rise after being very open and public about their dislike for Trustkill in 2008, Bleeding Through announced their split with the label shortly after releasing ''Declaration''. In late 2009, the band announced their signing to Rise Records.
