Derek Kraus
Derek K. Kraus (born September 1, 2001) is an American professional stock car racing driver who competed full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 19 Chevrolet Silverado for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing. The Stratford, Wisconsin native is also a former NASCAR Next member and the 2019 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West Champion. Racing career Early years Kraus started racing in go-karts and bandoleros. He won the GSR Kartway championship in 2012 and 2013. Kraus also competed in bandoleros at State Park Speedway in 2013 and won the track championship. In 2014, he won the State Park and state bandeleros championships. He later moved up to Midwest trucks and super late models (SLMs). He began the 2015 season by competing in seven Super Late Model races in Florida's New Smyrna Speedway. Watkins Glen International
Watkins Glen International, nicknamed "The Glen", is an automobile race track located in the town of Dix just southwest of the village of Watkins Glen, New York, at the southern tip of Seneca Lake. It was long known around the world as the home of the Formula One United States Grand Prix, which it hosted for twenty consecutive years (1961–1980). The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is a pickup truck racing series owned and operated by the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, and is the only series in NASCAR to race production pickup truck based stock cars. 2022 ARCA Menards Series West
The 2022 ARCA Menards Series West is the 69th season of the ARCA Menards Series West, a regional stock car racing series sanctioned by NASCAR in the United States. The season began on March 11 at Phoenix Raceway with the General Tire 150 and will end with another race at Phoenix Raceway on November 5. Jesse Love, who has won the championship for the last 2 years, will not go for a three-peat, as he revealed in an interview with ''Frontstretch'' that he would not return to the West Series full-time in 2022. 2019 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West
The 2019 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West was the sixty-sixth season of the K&N Pro Series West, a regional stock car racing series sanctioned by NASCAR. It began with the Star Nursery 100 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway dirt track on February 28, 2019, and concluded with the Arizona Lottery 100 at ISM Raceway on November 9, 2019. Derek Kraus was crowned the champion, ahead of Jagger Jones (who also won Rookie of the Year), Hailie Deegan, and Trevor Huddleston. South Boston Speedway
South Boston Speedway, or "SoBo", is a short track located just outside South Boston, Virginia. SoBo is located approximately east of another area familiar to most NASCAR fans, Martinsville. It is owned by Mattco, Inc., the Mattioli family trust that owns Pocono Raceway, with general manager Chase Brashears operating the track, replacing Cathy Rice who retired in 2021 after serving in that role for 21 years. NASCAR's three national series have raced at the track, though the Cup Series has not done so since 1971, while the Busch Series last raced here in 2000. The WhosYourDriver.org Twin 100s is a dual NASCAR K&N Pro Series race held annually at South Boston Speedway. From 2007 to 2011, the race was held as a 150-lap race.
