Deranged (band)
Deranged is a Swedish death metal band formed in 1991. The band was named after the 1974 movie '' Deranged''. History Formed in 1991, Deranged is a very peculiar band in the Swedish scene: unlike bands such as Grave, Entombed and Dismember, Deranged does not have the more melodic Swedish sound their contemporaries are known for and plays a very fast and technical deathgrind with several groove influences. Drawing inspirations from Cannibal Corpse, Carcass, Morbid Angel, Suffocation and Napalm Death, the band is better associated with US death metal. The band have released the singles ''The Confessions of a Necrophile'' -title directly extracted of the movie- (1992) and ''Upon the Medical Slab'' (1994), the EPs ''The Confessions Continue'' (1993), ''Architects of Perversions'' (1994) and ''Sculpture of the Dead'' (1996) and the albums ''Rated X'' (1995), ''High on Blood'' (1998), ''III'' (2000), ''Deranged'' (2001), ''Plainfield Cemetery'' (2002), ''Obscenities in B-Flat'' (20 ...

Hjärup
Hjärup () is, with its more than 4,250 inhabitants, the second largest locality in Staffanstorp Municipality, Scania, Sweden. Hjärup has a station on the PÃ¥gatÃ¥gen system. The locality has a suburban character with semi-detached houses initially built in the 1960s–1970s on Lundaslätten, the fertile plain south of Lund, initially on land sold off from the farm ''Hjerup''. Hjärup was until the 1990s confined in between the railway and the main road Malmö– Lund. On the other side of the railway, adjacent to Hjärup's station, a district called Jakriborg is now growing. Hjärup consists of about 1,600 households (2005) with public services chiefly limited to preschools, schools, health care center and old people's home, as virtually all inhabitants commute to work in the Greater Malmö metropolitan area. 400 of the dwellings are in the housing estate Jakriborg. The distance to Lund is 5 km by bike, bus or car — or 3 minutes by train. The distance t ...

Napalm Death
Napalm Death are an English grindcore band formed in 1981 in Meriden, West Midlands. None of the band's original members has been in the group since 1986. But since ''Utopia Banished'' (1992), the lineup of bassist Shane Embury, guitarist Mitch Harris, drummer Danny Herrera and lead vocalist Mark "Barney" Greenway has remained consistent through most of the band's career. From 1989 to 2004, Napalm Death were a five-piece band after they added Jesse Pintado as the replacement of one-time guitarist Bill Steer. Following Pintado's departure, the band reverted to a four-piece. The band is credited as pioneers of the grindcore genre by incorporating elements of crust punk and death metal, using a noise-filled sound that uses distorted, down-tuned guitars, grinding overdrive bass, high-speed tempo, blast beats, vocals that consist of incomprehensible growls or high-pitched shrieks, extremely short songs, and sociopolitical lyrics. The band's debut album '' Scum'', released in 1987 ...

Deathgrind Musical Groups
Grindcore is an extreme fusion genre of heavy metal and hardcore punk that originated in the mid-1980s, drawing inspiration from abrasive-sounding musical styles, such as thrashcore, crust punk, hardcore punk, extreme metal, and industrial. Grindcore is considered a more noise-filled style of hardcore punk while using hardcore's trademark characteristics such as heavily distorted, down-tuned guitars, grinding overdriven bass, high-speed tempo, blast beats, and vocals which consist of growls, shouts and high-pitched shrieks. Early groups like Napalm Death are credited with laying the groundwork for the style. It is most prevalent today in North America and Europe, with popular contributors such as Brutal Truth and Nasum. Lyrical themes range from a primary focus on social and political concerns, to gory subject matter and black humor. A trait of grindcore is the "microsong" much shorter than average for punk or metal; several bands have produced songs that are only secon ...

Encyclopaedia Metallum
Encyclopaedia Metallum: The Metal Archives (commonly known as Metal Archives per the URL or abbreviated as MA) is an online encyclopedia based upon musical artists who predominantly perform heavy metal music along with its various sub-genres. Encyclopaedia Metallum was described by Matt Sullivan of ''Nashville Scene'' as "the Internet's central database for all that is ' tr00' in the metal world." ''Terrorizer'' described the site as "a exhaustive list of pretty much every metal band ever, with full discographies, an active forum and an interlinking members list that shows the ever-incestuous beauty of the metal scene". Nevertheless, there are exceptions for bands which fall under disputed genres not accepted by the website. Encyclopaedia Metallum attempts to provide comprehensive information on each band, such as a discography, logos, pictures, lyrics, line-ups, biography, trivia and user-submitted reviews. The site also provides a system for submitting bands to the archives. T ...

Per Gyllenbäck
Regain Records was a Swedish-based independent record label. The label predominantly released death metal and black metal albums. Regain Records was founded from what remained of the former label, Wrong Again Records, by Per Gyllenbäck in 1997. Wrong Again Records had such bands as In Flames, Cryptopsy, Arch Enemy, and Naglfar among its ranks. Regain Records' first two releases were Deranged's '' High on Blood'' and Embraced's '' Amorous Anathema'', in late 1997. In the first two years of operation, business for the label was slow, due to lack of proper distribution. It was not until Regain Records re-released the first two in Flames albums, ''Lunar Strain'' and '' Subterranean'', which were previously released under the name Wrong Again Records, that the label began to prosper. In 2008, the label was involved in a legal dispute with the band Gorgoroth over their 2008 live album. Current and former acts * Acid Drinkers * Astaroth * Behemoth * Bewitched * Blackwinds * ...
