Deputy Governor Of Lagos State
The deputy governor of Lagos State is the second-highest officer in the executive branch of the government of Lagos State, after the governor of Lagos State, and ranks first in line of succession. The deputy governor is directly elected together with the governor to a four-year term of office. Femi Hamzat is the current deputy governor of Lagos State, he assumed office on 29 May 2019. Qualifications As in the case of the Governor, in order to be qualified to be elected as Deputy Governor, a person must: :*be at least thirty-five (35) years of age; :*be a Nigerian citizen by birth; :*be a member of a political party with endorsement by that political party; :*have School Certificate or its equivalent. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat (born 19 September 1964) is a Nigerian politician who serves as the Deputy Governor of Lagos State. He was born in Lagos, Nigeria into the family of Late Oba Mufutau Olatunji Hamzat and Late Alhaja Kehinde Hamzat from Iga Egbe, Lagos state. Lateef Jakande
Lateef Kayode Jakande (23 July 1929 – 11 February 2021) was a Nigerian journalist and politician who served as governor of Lagos State from 1979 to 1983, and later Minister of Works under the Sani Abacha military regime. Background Lateef Kayode Jakande was born in the Epetedo area of Lagos Island, Lagos State on July 29, 1929. Both parents are from Omu-Aran, Kwara State. Oluranti Adebule (born 27 November 1970) is a Nigerian politician, she served as the 15th Deputy Governor of Lagos state and the sixth woman to occupy the office from 2015 to 2019. Action Congress Of Nigeria
The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), formerly known as Action Congress (AC), was a Nigerian political party formed via the merger of a faction of Alliance for Democracy, the Justice Party, the Advance Congress of Democrats, and several other minor political parties in September 2006. The party controlled Lagos. Alliance For Democracy (Nigeria)
The Alliance for Democracy is a progressive opposition political party in Nigeria. It was formed on 9 September 1998. At the 2003 legislative elections, 12 April 2003, the party won 8.8% of the popular vote and 34 out of 360 seats in the Nigerian House of Representatives and 18 out of 109 seats in the Nigerian Senate. Sir Michael Otedola (16 July 1926 – 5 May 2014) was a Nigerian politician who served as Governor of Lagos State during the Nigerian Third Republic.
