Deposed Queen Lady Yun
Deposed Queen Yun of the Haman Yun clan (15 July 1455 – 29 August 1482) was the second wife of Yi Hyeol, King Seongjong and the mother of Yi Yung, Prince Yeonsan. She was Queen of Joseon from 1476 until her deposition in 1479. She was an 11th generation descendant of General Yun Gwan (윤관). Originally a concubine of the King, she was elevated to queen rank after Han Song-yi's death. The ousting of the Queen in 1479, and her subsequent death by poison in 1482 became a source of recurrent political turmoil, culminating with the First literati purge organized in 1498 by Yeonsan in the 4th year of his reign. Myeongjong of Joseon (3 July 1534 – 3 August 1567, r. 1545–1567) was the 13th king of the Joseon Dynasty of Korea. He was the second son of Jungjong, and his mother was Queen Munjeong, who was Jungjong's third queen. He became king in 1545 at the age of 12 following the death of his half-brother, Injong. Queen Jeinwondeok (제인원덕왕비, 齊仁元德王妃; 15 December 1476 – 16 May 1537), of the Geochang Sin clan, was the wife and queen consort of Yi Yung, King Yeonsan, the 10th Joseon monarch. Lee Lyang
Yi Ryang, also known as Lee Lyang (Hangul:이량, Hanja:李梁) (17 November 1519 – 8 March 1583), was a powerful politician during the Joseon Dynasty. His courtesy name was Gonggeo (공거, 公擧). Life Yi Ryang was a member of the ruling House of Jeonju Yi, as the great-great-great-grandson of Grand Prince Hyoryeong. His older sister, Lady Yi, was the wife of Sim Kang. Their daughter, Lady Sim, married Grand Prince Gyungwon, a son of King Jungjong, who later became Myeongjong of Joseon. In his early years, Yi Ryang studied at Chung Sa-ryong's private academies. Shin Suk-ju ( ko, 신숙주, hanja: ; August 2, 1417 – July 23, 1475) was a Korean politician during the Joseon Dynasty. He served as Prime Minister from 1461 to 1466 and again from 1471 to 1475. The Yeoheung Min clan () is a Korean clan that traces its origin to Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province. The 2015 Korean Census counted 167,124 members of the Yeoheung Min clan.
