Deportivo Masaya FC
Deportivo Masaya is a football team in Nicaragua playing in the Segunda División de Nicaragua, the second category of football in the country. History Deportivo Masaya started life in 1978 in the Masaya Department, in Nicaragua. Thanks to the efforts of husband and wife, Don Arnoldo and Matty Chávez, they quickly began to gain a following. After five years they gained their first major trophy, the Copa de Nicaragua in 1983. There followed a golden age for the club, winning their first Liga Primera de Nicaragua in 1984. After a failed defence of their title, they took their second league title in 1986. "El Equipo del Pueblo" (The Peoples Club) had made their mark on Nicaraguan football. The clubs history has not been easy, however, has endured a tough existence since those heady glory days and have slipped out of the top flight. Masaya
Masaya () is the capital city of Masaya Department in Nicaragua. It is situated approximately 14 km west of Granada and 31 km southeast of Managua. It is located just east of the Masaya Volcano, an active volcano from which the city takes its name. With an estimated population of 136,584 (2021), it is Nicaragua's fourth most populous city, and is culturally known as the City of Flowers. History It is believed that the Niquiranos were the first people to dwell in the land of Masaya (the Chorotegas had also inhabited these areas). There is evidence of their settlements in small towns like Nindiri, Niquinohomo and Monimbó from before the Spanish Conquest. One of the city's principle neighborhoods is Monimbó (which in Spanish means "close to the water") and is located very close to the lagoon. The Segunda División de Nicaragua is the second football level of Nicaraguan football. It is organized by FENIFUT. Format Torneo de Apertura (Opening tournament) and Torneo de Clausura (Closure Tournament). Liga Primera De Nicaragua
The Liga Primera de Nicaragua is the top division of football in Nicaragua, organized by the Federación Nicaragüense de Fútbol, it was created in 1933. It is played in two parts, Torneo de Apertura from August through November and Torneo de Clausura from January through May. Each of the regular seasons is followed by a playoff of the top four teams over a two-legged semifinal and subsequent final. The relegation end has the bottom team of the aggregate table dropped as well as the loser of the playoff of the 8th and 9th-place teams. Milton Bustos
Milton Ángel Busto García (born April 19, 1982) is a Nicaraguan professional midfielder currently playing for Walter Ferretti. Club career A versatile player, Busto has played in attack, midfield and defense for several clubs in the Nicaraguan premier division, most notable 5 years with Diriangén. He did not play in Xilotepelt's relegation play-off defeat by Chinandega in June 2011 and rejoined his first club Walter Ferretti. Motorcycle accident In summer 2013 he was injured in an accident with a motorcycle also involving teammate Josué Quijano.
