''Departure'' is the third studio album by American singer Jesse McCartney. It was released on May 20, 2008 through Hollywood Records. The album was re-released on April 7, 2009, under the name ''Departure: Recharged''. The album featured a heavier Contemporary R&B, R&B sound, and spawned three US Hot 100 top 40 hits, "Leavin' (Jesse McCartney song), Leavin'", "How Do You Sleep? (Jesse McCartney song), How Do You Sleep?", and "Body Language (Jesse McCartney song), Body Language". The latter two were released as singles from the recharged edition. Album information It has been described by McCartney as a complete change in musical style compared to his previous releases . About the new album, he said, "I'm shooting for Prince (singer), Prince chord changes, Michael Jackson, Michael [Jackson] melodies, and the bigness of Madonna (entertainer), Madonna - fun '80s stuff. Jesse McCartney (born April 9, 1987) is an American actor and singer. He achieved fame in the late 1990s on the daytime drama ''All My Children'' as JR Chandler. He later joined boy band Dream Street, and eventually branched out into a solo musical career.
