Department Of Fisheries (New Brunswick)
The Department of Fisheries is a department in the Government of New Brunswick, Canada. It is responsible for management of the Province's fisheries. From 1882, fisheries was the responsibility of the Department of Agriculture until 1963 when the government of Premier Louis Robichaud created a separate Department of Fisheries and appointed Ernest Richard its minister. The department would be renamed the Department of Fisheries & Aquaculture which in 2000 was merged with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to become the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture. This department lasted until October 3, 2006 when Premier Shawn Graham split the departments into the Department of Agriculture and Aquaculture and reestablished the separate Department of Fisheries. Paul Robichaud (born May 6, 1964 in Tracadie, New Brunswick) is a politician in the province of New Brunswick, Canada. He studied at the Shippagan, New Brunswick campus of the University of Moncton. A member of the Progressive Conservative Party since 1985, he first ran for office in the 1995 but was defeated. He served from then until the next election as a Francophone organizer for the PC Party and ran again in 1999 when he was successful becoming the member of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick for Lamèque-Shippagan-Miscou. Camille Henri Thériault (born February 25, 1955) served as the 29th premier of New Brunswick from 1998 to 1999. Early life The son of Joséphine Martin and Norbert Thériault, a former provincial cabinet minister and Canadian Senator, Camille Thériault was born in Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick, and graduated from École Régionale de Baie Sainte-Anne. Danny Gay (politician)
Donald "Danny" David Gay (born December 12, 1950) was a politician in the Province of New Brunswick, Canada. He served as Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick from 1995 to 1997. He was educated at St. Francis Xavier University and Mount Saint Vincent University. Gay, a New Brunswick Liberal, was elected to the legislature in the 1987 election which saw his party win every seat under Frank McKenna. Joseph Raymond Frenette (April 16, 1935 – July 13, 2018) was a Canadian politician in New Brunswick. He was a Liberal Party of New Brunswick, Liberal representative for the riding of Moncton East in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick from 1974 New Brunswick general election, 1974 until 1998 when he retired after a short term as the 28th premier of New Brunswick.
