Denys Syzonenko
Denys Viktorovych Syzonenko ( uk, Денис Вікторович Сизоненко; born April 13, 1984) is a Ukrainian former swimmer, who specialized in freestyle events. He is a single-time Olympian (2004), and a two-time relay medalist at the Universiade (2003 and 2005). He also trains for Dynamo Kyiv swimming team, under his longtime coach Viktor Turchin. Syzonenko qualified only for the men's 4 × 100 m freestyle relay, as a member of the Ukrainian team, at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. Teaming with Andriy Serdinov, Pavel Khnykin, and Yuriy Yegoshin in heat two, Syzonenko swam a lead-off leg and recorded a split of 50.05, but the Ukrainians missed the top 8 final by almost a full second, finishing in fifth place and tenth overall with a national record of 3:18.95. Pavlo Khnykin (born April 5, 1969) is a retired freestyle swimmer from Vinnytsia, Ukraine. He was born in Sverdlovsk, Russian SFSR. He competed in four consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1992 for the Unified Team. Serhiy Mykolaiovych Advena ( uk, Сергій Миколайович Адвена; born August 4, 1984) is a Ukrainian former swimmer who specializes in the freestyle and butterfly swimming styles. He is a two-time Olympian (2004 and 2008), and a multiple-time Ukrainian record holder in both 100 and 200 m butterfly. He also helped out the Ukrainian team to upset their American rivals and claim the medley relay title (3:38.49) at the 2005 Summer Universiade in Izmir, Turkey. Advena made his Olympic debut in Athens 2004, competing in two swimming events. He also teamed up with Maksym Kokosha, Dmytro Vereitinov, and Olympic stalwart Serhiy Fesenko in the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay. Oleg Lisogor
Oleh Lisohor (born 17 January 1979 in Brovary, Kyiv Oblast, Soviet Union) is a Ukrainian swimmer. Career Lisohor is the former world record holder in the 50 metres breaststroke, long course, with 27.18 seconds. The record was set in Berlin on 2 August 2002. Lisohor is also the former record holder over 50 metres breaststroke (short course). He took part in three Olympic Games. He won two world titles in the 50 m breaststroke, in 2001 and 2007. He made an appearance in Régis Wargnier's film East/West.
