Sailing At The 1960 Summer Olympics – Flying Dutchman
The Flying Dutchman was a sailing event on the Sailing at the 1960 Summer Olympics program in Naples. Seven races were scheduled. 64 sailors, on 31 boats, from 31 nations competed. Harald Nielsen
Harald Ingemann Nielsen (26 October 1941 – 11 August 2015) was a Danish footballer who played as a forward. He played professionally for Italian club Bologna F.C. where he was the league top scorer (''capocannoniere'') in Bologna's 1964 Serie A championship winning season. Harald Nielsen played 14 games for the Denmark national team in 1959 and 1960, scoring 15 goals, and he was known as ''Guld-Harald'' (Gold-Harald). Hans Nielsen (footballer)
Hans Christian Wedelsted Nielsen (10 May 1928 – 5 March 1990) was a Danish amateur association football defender. He played 25 matches for the Danish national team from May 1958 to June 1961, and won a silver medal at the 1960 Summer Olympics. Born in Odder, Hansen started his career at Odder IGF but would spend most of his career with nearby top-flight club Aarhus Gymnastikforening (AGF). Flemming Gert Nielsen, known simply as Flemming Nielsen, (24 February 1934 – 16 November 2018) was a Danish football player in the midfielder position, who won a silver medal with the Denmark national football team at the 1960 Summer Olympics. He played professionally for Italian club Atalanta BC and Scottish club Morton. Born in Copenhagen, Nielsen played as an amateur for local clubs B 93 and AB. He made his debut for the amateur-only Danish national team in June 1954, and played five games and scored two goals at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome. He played his last national team game in October 1960, having played a total 26 games and scored four goals for Denmark, before turning professional. Poul Jensen (footballer Born 1934)
Poul Jensen (28 March 1934 – 6 July 2022) was a Danish footballer who played 32 games for the Denmark national football team between 1959 and 1962, 21 of those as team captain. Jensen played his entire career as right back for Vejle Boldklub. In 1958, Jensen took part in one of the clubs' biggest triumphs as Vejle won the Double. The next year the triumph was followed up as Vejle Boldklub went on to win the title once again, with Jensen selected as captain. He played 202 games league games and scored three league goals for Vejle, and played a total 259 games and scored five goals in all competitions for the club. Jensen made his debut for Denmark in 1959 in a game against Iceland and went on to play thirty-two matches, captaining the team in twenty-one of them. Bent Hansen (footballer)
Bent Hansen (13 September 1933 in Copenhagen – 8 March 2001) was a Danish amateur football (soccer) player who won a silver medal with the Denmark national football team at the 1960 Summer Olympics. He played a total of 58 national team matches from 1958 to 1965, in which he scored a single goal. On the club level, Bent Hansen played his entire senior career with Copenhagen club B 1903. Hansen was a player of great stamina and positional sense with good technique, and his game was riskless without surprise or use of trickery, but also without mistakes. Henry Petersen From (1 June 1926 – 31 August 1990) was a Danish association football goalkeeper. He played 31 games for the Denmark national football team, and won a silver medal at the 1960 Summer Olympics. He spent his entire club career at AGF Aarhus, with whom he won four Danish football championships and four Danish Cups. Henning Enoksen (26 September 1935 – 25 September 2016) was a Danish footballer, who most prominently won a silver medal with the Denmark national team at the 1960 Summer Olympics.
