Denmark League XI National Football Team
The Denmark League XI national football team is an unofficial national football team run by the Danish Football Association. The team generally consists of Danish players playing in the Danish Superliga, or other leagues if their clubs agree to release them. It is only assembled in the start of the year, during the winter break in the Superliga. The matches of the League XI have generally not been recognised as official matches by the Danish FA, although FIFA recognised matches until 2007. History A Danish Football Combination played the Scottish League XI in 1955. Since 1983, the team has been assembled every year except 2005 (because of an early World Cup qualification match) and 2011 (where no suitable trip could be arranged) in January or February. Danish Football Association
The Danish Football Union ( da, Dansk Boldspil-Union; DBU) is the governing body of football in Denmark. It is the organization of the Danish football clubs and runs the professional Danish football leagues and the men's and women's national teams. It is based in the city of Brøndby and is a founding member of both FIFA and UEFA. The DBU has also been the governing body of futsal in Denmark since 2008. Beginnings The DBU was founded on 18 May 1889 and was the first national football association outside Great Britain and Ireland. However, it did not register games officially before the 1908 Summer Olympics, meaning that the win in the 1906 Intercalated Olympics tournament was not officially recorded by the DBU. Johan Absalonsen
Johan Hindsgaul Absalonsen (born 16 September 1985) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a left winger. He has played two games and scored one goal for the Denmark national team. Club career B1913 Born in Flemløse near Glamsbjerg, Absalonsen started playing football for local clubs, before he entered the youth scheme of B 1913. He played two senior matches for B 1913, before moving to the reserve team of defending Danish champions Brøndby IF in 2003. Brøndby Absalonsen joined Brøndby IF on 3 January 2003 at the age of 17. Mikkel Thygesen
Mikkel Thygesen (born 22 October 1984) is a Danish football coach and former player. Thygesen was capped three times for the Denmark national team, all friendlies. Club career Early career Born in Copenhagen, Thygesen started playing youth football for Greve Fodbold and later Brøndby IF, before getting his senior debut with Danish 1st Division (second tier) club BK Frem in the 2002–03 season. He helped Frem win promotion to the Danish Superliga in his second season, and was a part of Frem's starting line-up in the top-flight Danish championship. He played 30 out of 33 possible matches and scored five goals, which saw Frem relegated at the end of the season. Jakob Bendix Uhd Poulsen (born 7 July 1983) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder and current assistant coach of Viborg FF. Poulsen started his senior career with Esbjerg fB, before moving to Dutch side SC Heerenveen in 2006. He joined AGF Aarhus in the summer of 2008. Jim Larsen (born 6 November 1985) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Club career Early years Larsen was born in Korsør, West Zealand, Denmark, and from an early age joined the AGF academy of Hessel Gods Fodboldkostskole in tenth grade, where he was coached by the likes of Flemming Povlsen and Lars Lundkvist, and played for Grenaa IF's team in the Jutland Series and Denmark Series. The 80th Birthday Stadium is a sports facility in Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat), Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Thailand. It is the main stadium in His Majesty the King's 80th Birthday Anniversary, 5 December 2007, Sports Complex. It is home to Nakhon Ratchasima FC, a professional team, and it was used for the 2007 Southeast Asian Games which coincided with the 80th birthday of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, hence the name of the venue.
