Denis Spitsov
Denis Sergeyevich Spitsov (russian: Денис Сергеевич Спицов; born 16 August 1996) is a Russian cross-country skier who competes internationally. Spitsov debuted in the World Cup in Davos, Switzerland, on 9 December 2017. He participated at the 2018 Winter Olympics, where he won a bronze medal in 15 km interval race, two silver medals in team sprint (with Alexander Bolshunov) and men's relay. Vozhega
Vozhega (russian: Вожега) is an urban locality (an urban-type settlement) and the administrative center of Vozhegodsky District of Vologda Oblast, Russia. It also serves as the administrative center of Vozhegodsky Selsoviet, although it is not part of it. Municipally, it is incorporated as Vozhegodskoye Urban Settlement, the only urban settlement in the district. Vozhega is located several kilometers off the course of the Vozhega River, on the right bank of the river. Population: History The area was sparsely populated until the end of 19th century, since it was far from all trade routes connecting Northern Russia with the White Sea. The men's 30 kilometre skiathlon cross-country skiing competition at the 2018 Winter Olympics was held on 11 February 2018 at 15:15 KST at the Alpensia Cross-Country Skiing Centre in Pyeongchang, South Korea. The event, split into half distance classic skiing and half distance skate skiing, was won by Simen Hegstad Krüger, for whom this was the first Olympic medal. The ''Fédération internationale de ski et de snowboard'' (FIS; en, International Ski and Snowboard Federation) is the highest international governing body for skiing and snowboarding. Alexander Bolshunov
Alexander Alexandrovich Bolshunov (russian: Александр Александрович Большунов, also '' tr.'' Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Bolshunov; born 31 December 1996) is a Russian cross-country skier and two-time winner of the 14th and 15th Tour de Ski. Bolshunov is a nine-time Olympic medalist, three of which are gold, and is also the first male post-Soviet Russian World Cup champion, winning the overall World Cup in 2020 and 2021. The FIS Cross-Country World Cup is an annual cross-country skiing competition, arranged by the International Ski Federation (FIS) since 1981. The competition was arranged unofficially between 1973 and 1981, although it received provisional recognition on the 31st FIS Congress, 29–30 April 1977 in Bariloche, Argentina. The first World Cup races were held on 9 January 1982 and were located in Reit im Winkl, West Germany and Klingenthal, East Germany. Competitive cross-country skiing encompasses a variety of race formats and course lengths. Rules of cross-country skiing are sanctioned by the International Ski Federation and by various national organizations. The 3rd CISM World Winter Games (russian: Зимние Всемирные военные игры 2017) were held in Sochi, Russia from 23 to 27 February 2017.
