Denis Dupont
Denis Dupont (born 4 January 1993) is a Belgian racing driver currently competing in the USA in Michelin Pilot Challenge in TCR. He previously raced in WTCR, TCR International Series, GT3 in Blancpain Sprint and Endurance championship, TCR BeNeLux Touring Car Championship, GT4 European Series Northern Cup and NASCAR Whelen Euro Series amongst others. Racing career Dupont began his career in 2008 in Karting, he continued in karting until 2012. In 2014 he switched to the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, he finished the season fifth in the Elite 2 class championship standings that year, having taken two victories. For 2016 he switched to the TCR BeNeLux Touring Car Championship, driving a SEAT León TCR for the Belgian RACB National Team partnering Sam Dejonghe. With the pair taking two victories. Bahrain International Circuit
The Bahrain International Circuit ( ar, حلبة البحرين الدولية, Ḥalba al-Baḥrayn ad-Dawliyya) is a motorsport venue opened in 2004 and used for drag racing, GP2 Series (now FIA Formula 2), and the annual Formula One Bahrain Grand Prix. The 2004 Grand Prix was the first held in the Middle East. Beginning in 2006, Australian V8 Supercars raced at the BIC, with the event known as the Desert 400. However, the V8 Supercars did not return for the 2011 V8 Supercar season. 24 Hour endurance races are also hosted at BIC. The circuit has a FIA Grade 1 license. The circuit also has multiple layouts. Rustavi International Motorpark
The Rustavi International Motorpark is a motor racing venue located south-east of Tbilisi, Georgia. History Rustavi was the last race track built in the USSR. Opened in 1978, the original Rustavi circuit was in length with a width of at the start-finish straight, in turns and in straights. A karting track, automobile cross circuit and motorbike track were also included in the complex, as well as grandstands for 500–800 people. A technical building and hotel were located nearby. The first races took place at the end of 1979. Until 1989 the track hosted eleven USSR Championship events; however, from 1989 until 2009 the track was not maintained and fell into decay. In 2009 the private company Stromos bought the site at a state auction and began redevelopment. 2017 TCR International Series
The 2017 TCR International Series was the third and the last season of the TCR International Series. Stefano Comini entered the season as defending double champion, but finished only third in the standings with 30 points behind the new champion Jean-Karl Vernay, who won the title with a race to spare in the Dubai round, and Attila Tassi. Comini and Tassi were separated by only one point. In the teams' standings Hungarian team M1RA managed to secure the title in Dubai, beating the previous champions Craft-Bamboo Racing by 62 points. Eric Rockwell (born October 30, 1996) is an American racing driver who currently competes for Rockwell Autosport Development in the TCR class of the Michelin Pilot Challenge. Career Early career Rockwell began his racing carer in 2015, competing in SCCA club racing events in touring categories. He would then move to the ChampCar Endurance Series for 2016. IMSA For the 2021 season, Rockwell made his professional debut at Watkins Glen International in the 2021 Michelin Pilot Challenge. He would finish 9th. He would contest two other races that season at Virginia International Raceway and Road Atlanta, finishing 8th and 9th respectively. 2018 WTCR
The 2018 FIA World Touring Car Cup (known as the FIA WTCR presented by Oscaro for sponsorship reasons) was the inaugural season of the World Touring Car Cup (WTCR). It took over from the World Touring Car Championship and adopted the TCR technical regulations. It was also the 14th overall season of the series that dates from the 2005 World Touring Car Championship.
