Dengeki Comics
is a manga publishing label affiliated with the Japanese publishing company ASCII Media Works (formerly MediaWorks) and is aimed at a male audience. Aside from the main Dengeki Comics label, there is the related Dengeki Comics EX label, which was launched in 1992, and the Dengeki Comics NEXT label, which was launched in 2013. Clannad (visual Novel)
''Clannad'' is a Japanese visual novel developed by Key and released on April 28, 2004 for Windows. While both of Key's first two previous works, '' Kanon'' and ''Air'', had been released first as adult games and then censored for the younger market, ''Clannad'' was specifically made for all ages. It was later ported to the PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch consoles. An English version for Windows was released on Steam by Sekai Project in 2015. The story follows the life of Tomoya Okazaki, from adolescence to adulthood. As an average high school student, he meets many people in his last year at school, including five girls whose individual problems he helps resolve, and his life is further detailed after graduating from high school. Gakuen Utopia Manabi Straight!
often shortened to ''Manabi Straight!'', is a Japanese multimedia project co-developed by the animation studio Ufotable and MediaWorks. The project revolves around a group of high school girls in the year 2035 when the birth rate has dropped dramatically. It launched in August 2004 in MediaWorks' ''Dengeki AniMaga'' magazine, and went on to produce a manga adaptation serialized in MediaWorks' ''Dengeki Daioh'', and a second manga serialized in Enterbrain's ''Famitsu Comic Clear''. A 12-episode anime series aired on TV Tokyo between January and March 2007, and is complemented by an original video animation (OVA) episode released exclusively on DVD in October 2007. Discotek Media licensed the series and OVA for release in North America in 2019. G-On Riders
is a Japanese anime series animated by TNK and Shaft. The "G" in "G-On" stands for "Glasses". Every female character in the series (including in one brief shot the Statue of Liberty) wears glasses, hence the title. The character designs are intended to both parody and glorify the meganekko fetish among many anime fans. Other fetishes the anime uses include maids, seifuku, nurses, lolitas, and nuns. Plot In the near future, most of the Earth has been conquered by aliens. However, a small region in Japan has successfully repelled them thanks to the development of "G-On" technology by the Grand Rifurekuto Amudo/Grand Reflect Armed (GRA). Futakoi Alternative
is a Japanese anime television series created by character designer Mutsumi Sasaki and planner & scenario writer Hina Futaba. The series was produced by MediaWorks (publisher), MediaWorks, King Records (Japan), King Records, Lantis (company), Lantis and Yomiko Advertising and animated by Feel (animation studio), Feel, Studio Flag and Ufotable. It ran for 13 episodes from 7 April 2005 to 30 June 2005. The show features many of the characters from the original ''Futakoi'', though the story and settings are completely different. A manga adaptation of the show is illustrated by Kanao Araki. Story ''Futakoi Alternative'' tells the story of Rentarō Futaba and his detective agency. is a Japanese anime television series animated by OLM, Inc. and directed by Naohito Takahashi. The series features character designs by Yuriko Chiba and music by Toshihiko Takamizawa (of the rock band The Alfee). The series has a monthly one hour time slot per episode (46 minutes of actual episode) rather than the standard weekly half hour time slot. Each episode consists of about 35–40 minutes of the titular Tsubasa's and Hikaru's school lives, and is typically concluded by about 5–10 minutes of fighting alien monsters called Maguar. The main theme of this series revolves around Tsubasa growing up and learning how to cope with life events, such as the loss of her mother and her familiar environment, than the fighting present in each episode. is a Japanese Mecha anime and manga, mecha anime franchise created by Xebec (studio), Xebec in collaboration with King Records (Japan), Starchild Records. The story focuses on a group of children who pilot the titular Fafners in an escalating war against giant aliens called Festum. The first series, subtitled ''Dead Aggressor'', is directed by Nobuyoshi Habara and written by Yasuo Yamabe and Tow Ubukata with character designs from Hisashi Hirai and mecha designs by Naohiro Washio. ''Ef: A Fairy Tale of the Two'' is a Japanese two-part adult visual novel series by Minori for Windows PCs. The first game in the series, ''Ef: The First Tale'', was released on December 22, 2006, and the second game, ''Ef: The Latter Tale'', was released on May 30, 2008. The opening video for the game was animated by Makoto Shinkai, and a majority of the music was produced by Tenmon, who has worked in the past with Shinkai and Minori. ''The Doll Master'' () is a 2004 South Korean horror film directed by Jeong Yong-ki. Plot 60 years ago, a dollmaker and a woman in a red kimono ( Jeong Yu-mi) fell in love in the Korean countryside with a young doll-maker, and when they begin to date he makes a doll in her likeness.
