Denby Taylor
Denby Taylor (born 19 February 2000) is a retired Australian rules footballer who played with the Geelong Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Taylor grew up in Geelong, Victoria with her parents, Pete and Pauline, and three older sisters, Casey, Dom & Jordan. She attended Sacred Heart College for school, and played football at junior level with Newtown & Chilwell Football Club. Taylor played with the Geelong Falcons in the TAC Cup in 2017 and 2018, winning the premiership in the latter year, and was named in the league's "Team of the Year" in both seasons. Geelong Falcons
The Geelong Falcons is a youth Australian rules football representative club in the NAB League, the Victorian statewide under-18s competition, Victoria, Australia. The club takes in talented junior players from the Geelong, Colac and Warrnambool regions in order to prepare them for AFL selection. There is an under-15 V-Line cup side and an under-16 side, but the club's main focus is its under-18 side, who play a longer season. In 2007, Jimmy Bartel became the first ex-Falcon to win the AFL Brownlow Medal, for the league's best and fairest player, while Jonathan Brown became the first ex-Falcon to win the Coleman Medal for the most goals in the season. TAC Cup
The NAB League Boys (also referred to as simply the NAB League and formerly known as the TAC Cup) is an under-19 Australian rules football representative competition held in Australia. It is based on geographic regions throughout country Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne with each team representing twelve Victorian regions, while a thirteenth team from Tasmania was reintroduced in 2019. The competition is sponsored by National Australia Bank (NAB), having previously been sponsored by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) since its inception. The competition is one of the primary sources of recruitment for Australian Football League (AFL) clubs. Newtown & Chilwell Sporting Club, nicknamed the ''Eagles'', is an Australian rules football and netball club based in the inner western suburb of Newtown, Victoria. 2018 AFL Women's Draft
The 2018 AFL Women's (AFLW) draft consisted of the various periods when the ten clubs in the AFL Women's, Australian rules football women's competition could recruit players prior to the competition's 2019 AFL Women's season, 2019 season. As in the previous season, all player contracts are all capped at one-year deals, and all existing AFLW players must be re-signed prior to the 2019 season.
