Dena Higley
Dena Higley (born September 26, 1958) is an American writer, speaker and author. Early life and career Higley grew up in East County, San Diego and was the first of three children. She moved to Los Angeles as a teenager eventually graduating from the University of Southern California with a BFA in Theatre. Dena was previously the head writer of the daytime soap operas '' Days of Our Lives'' and '' One Life to Live''. In February 2015, ''Soap Opera Digest'' confirmed Higley's imminent return to ''Days of Our Lives'', this time alongside Josh Griffith. The pair begin writing for the series on February 16, 2015, with their material airing on August 19, 2015. Higley was fired again in January 2017; she was replaced by Ron Carlivati. The Daytime Emmy Awards, or Daytime Emmys, are part of the extensive range of Emmy Awards for artistic and technical merit for the American television industry. Gary Tomlin is an American soap opera actor, writer, producer and director. Career Tomlin's career on daytime serials began in 1973 when he was cast on CBS's ''Search for Tomorrow'' as Bruce Carson. He also made a guest appearance on "The Nightwalker" episode of the Waltons (1976). He later appeared as Morgan Simpson on the NBC soap opera ''Another World (TV series), Another World'' in 1979. Both series were produced in New York City by Procter and Gamble Productions. Tomlin served as the co-head writer of NBC's ''Days of Our Lives'', which tapes in Los Angeles, California, Los Angeles, from 1980 to 1981. Michael Christopher Malone (November 22, 1942 – August 19, 2022) was an American author and television writer. He was noted for his work on the ABC Daytime drama ''One Life to Live'', as well as for his novels ''Handling Sin'' (1983), ''Foolscap'' (1991), and the murder mystery ''First Lady'' (2002). Early life Malone was born in Durham, North Carolina, on November 22, 1942. His father worked as a psychiatrist; his mother was a teacher who was deaf. His family relocated to Atlanta when he was six years old. He lived with his mother after his parents divorced. He studied English at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating in 1964. He then obtained a master's degree from that institution two years later.
