Den Chai Railway Station
Den Chai station ( th, สถานีเด่นชัย) is a railway station located in Den Chai Subdistrict, Den Chai District, Phrae. It is a Class 1 railway station and is the main station for Phrae Province, as there is no rail service to Phrae City. It is located about from Bangkok railway station. It is also the station to alight for passengers heading to Nan Province. History Den Chai Station was opened in 1912 during the King Rama VI's reign as Phrae provincial railway station. In the olden days, the station was once used as a hub for various types of commodities, for example the shipping of wood, heavy products, as well as loads of packages would be conveyed here, also it was a distribution centre to provinces in the immediate vicinity. Northern Line (Thailand)
The Northern Line is a railway line in Thailand. The line heads north terminating at the northern port of Chiang Mai. The line is between Bangkok railway station and Chiang Mai railway station. Phrae
Phrae (; ) is a town (''thesaban mueang'') in northern Thailand, capital of Phrae Province. The town occupies ''tambon'' Nai Wiang of Mueang Phrae District. It has an area of nine kilometres2 and a population of 17,971 (2005). Phrae is 555 km north of Bangkok by road. Geography Phrae lies on the Yom River, at an elevation of . The town is mostly built on the east side of the river, but some outlying parts are built on the west side of the river and are connected to the main part by bridges. Rama VI
Vajiravudh ( th, วชิราวุธ, , 1 January 188126 November 1925) was the sixth monarch of Siam under the Chakri dynasty as Rama VI. He ruled from 23 October 1910 until his death in 1925. King Vajiravudh is best known for his efforts to create and promote Siamese nationalism. His reign was characterized by Siam's movement further towards democracy and minimal participation in World War I. He had keen interests in Siamese history, archaeology, and literature, as well as economics, politics and world affairs, and founded the country's first university, Chulalongkorn University.
